There were several changes between the current rule set and the previous one: some big, some small, and now the 54-page Conversion Notes document is live and available as a FREE PDF download!
Please note that this document is not intended to be a comprehensive ruleset, but a list of notable changes between Savage Worlds Deluxe (SWD) and Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (#SWADE) to help in converting previously published settings and supplements.
Our thanks to Marc Nuar and Christopher Landauer for pulling this document together for us.

The priority event deadline has come and gone, but you can still catch the train to fun town—register your games for Gen Con today! To all you hardy souls who’ve already submitted, our thanks. I bet your games fill up faster than a water balloon on a fire hydrant!
Unfortunately, we might’ve sold you a bit of a bum steer—not full-out Los Diablos hell-herd, but the fine folks from Gen Con registration had some clarifications for us.
- Don’t start your Savage Worlds scenario titles with “[SVG]” after all. They have to strip that out on their end. Just be sure to select “Savage Worlds” as the game system, and you’ll be listed correctly.
- Leave the company name field blank. Pinnacle isn’t sponsoring these as official events according to Gen Con’s criteria. If a blank field is going to keep you up nights with terror-filled flashbacks to standardized testing, consider working with a few other GMs to come up with a group name and primary contact person to manage your games. Gen Con will try to keep those fan-run events together in the listings.
Something that didn’t change, though, is that you need to e-mail Jodi Black, our Marketing Manager, with your game title and code to get details on goodies for you and your players. That includes the elusive invitation to hang with the Pinnacle crew on Thursday night.
If you’ve already registered, don’t worry. You just might see an edit or two to your registration, and now you’ll know why.
