Several New Settings on the Horizons!

Savage Worlds: Coming AttractionsThere are several new campaign settings in the works for Savage Worlds. We’re not promising you’ll see all these in a week or two—in fact, I’d probably lose a finger if I typed any dates at all! But these are a taste of what’s in the works.

East Texas University lets you enroll in 12 to Midnight’s campy campus college horror setting. Degrees of Horror gives you a full-length Plot Point Campaign to go from freshmen all the way through graduation and discover the secrets of Pinebox and Golan County—if you survive. And just because the monsters don’t kill you doesn’t mean the exams won’t—passing finals can be a real killer!

The Last Parsec is our next Kickstarter, and it will take you into the depths of known space and beyond! Exploring new planets for JumpCorp, each new mission will make wildly different demands. Powered by the Savage Worlds Science Fiction Companion, each Plot Point Campaign focuses on a different planet. Scientorium will take you to an immense artifact containing unimaginable knowledge, undreamed technologies, and untold danger. Eris Beta-V is a magnificent ringed gas giant with numerous moons, each a world of its own, and a dense field of asteroids and debris. When a threat to the system arises, will it be something your team can handle? Leviathan introduces you to the most dangerous game in the Known Worlds, with mammoth lacerauns more massive and cunning than most would ever imagine. But a world untouched by civilization is a draw to more than just hunters, and the other may be far more threatening!

The Sixth Gun series comes to RPGs! The First of the Six strikes with ungodly force. The Second spreads Perdition’s flames. The Third kills with a flesh-rotting disease. The Fourth calls up the spirits of those it has slain. The Fifth can heal the wielder from even a fatal wound. And the Sixth is the key to rewriting the world. Are you ready to saddle up and ride into the savage world of The Sixth Gun? Based on the Eisner and Harvey Award nominated comic series from Cullen Bunn, Brian Hurt, and OniPress. Watch for more details to come, as well as more accessories, including custom miniatures of the characters from the comics!

The Savage World of Lankhmar brings Fritz Leiber’s gritty world of urban fantasy into Savage Worlds, shepherded by Tim Brown (of Dark Sun and Dragon King fame) and our own Shane Hensley (who wrote the Lankhmar boxed set for TSR back in 1997)! Watch for Lankhmar: City of Thieves, detailing the city itself and its most important players—including Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser. Savage Foes of Nehwon brings you the most insidious threats—powerful sorcerers, terrible creatures, and ruthless villains—with adventure seeds and Savage Tales to really fill out a campaign. Savage Tales of the Thieves’ Guild is a thematically linked series of adventures that can be run individually or knitted into a Plot Point Campaign of their own, all churning around Cheap Street’s activities. And watch for accessories like premium metal miniatures and the Lankhmar Game Master’s Screen, too.

If you want some more details, check the Pinnacle preview flyer from the Gen Con booth or keep following the Pinnacle news here every Tuesday.

More Deadlands in More Places in More Formats!

Deadlands Weird West, Noir, and Hell on EarthWe teased some of what’s coming up with the Pinnacle preview flyer at the Gen Con booth, but here’s some highlights of what’s coming for Deadlands settings if you missed it.

Deadlands: The Weird West gets even more dangerous. Stone and a Hard Place is the third Plot Point Campaign for Deadlands, and it stars everyone’s favorite hard-nosed hero-killer—Stone. Enjoy a visit to the Weird West’s spaghetti Western roots with blazing six-guns and all the Tombstone (and tombstone) action you could want! Relics will bring you several objects that have become imbued with the powers and personalities of their users or the great events they’re part of. This collection will bring you the most potent, but beware—power always comes at a price.

Hell on Earth expands! The Hell on Earth Reloaded Companion has new Edges and Hindrances, more gear, expanded vehicles, and additional Arcane Backgrounds like bibliopaths, cyborgs, and witches! It’s not all good news, though, since it also includes an expanded Adventure Generator and more new horrors of the Wasted West. The Worm Turns brings you a full-fledged Plot Point Campaign with the shenanigans of the Iron Alliance and the Combine in the post-Reckoners Wasted West.
Lost Colony returns, with a relaunch from the team of John Goff and Cheyenne Wright. This all-new edition of the game is written from the ground up with everything you need to continue the story of Deadlands on the fantastic planet of Banshee and in space itself! The Lost Colony Companion will deliver a complete Plot Point Campaign and include more character options, Savage Tales, and creatures of Banshee.

The Big Easy card game brings the fast-paced world of the hardboiled detective in Deadlands Noir to a new format. For two to four players with a 30-60 minute play time, this new game from Deadlands Noir creators John Goff and Cheyenne Wright makes visiting the mean streets way more convenient, but no less deadly!

Watch here for more information as we have it, and check the Pinnacle preview flyer for more details.

“Of the Dead” Series Takes on a New Life!

Of the Dead SeriesGun Metal Games now has the exclusive license to continue Daring Entertainment’sOf the Dead” line of games.

David Jarvis, principal of Gun Metal Games, leapt at the chance to continue Daring Entertainment’s massive zombie apocalypse thriller setting when he heard Lee Szczepanik was stepping away from RPGs to focus on fiction writing. Lee, a fan of Gun Metal GamesInterface Zero, is happy to have the line in such capable hands, and will maintain a consulting and approval role to keep the flavor and direction of the series consistent.

We’re looking forward to seeing what comes from such a creative pair. Keep your eyes peeled. You don’t want the walking dead sneaking up on—or by—you!

New Adventures for ETU and Weird Wars: Rome!

Nox Germanica for Weird Wars: RomeClass Ring for East Texas UniversityWe’re happy to bring you two new adventures this week. Whether you’re burning the midnight oil studying for exams or watching the barbarian hordes that would invade Rome herself, fate is definitely in your hands.

In Class Ring for East Texas University, a late night with the books brings the ghost of a beautiful young woman seeking help. Why does she haunt the Language Arts building? Who was she? What can a bunch of college students do about it—and are you up to it?

Nox Germanica for Weird Wars: Rome takes you to the dark, dripping forests of Germania, a trackless land of barbarians, mystery, and fear. Here on the Limes Germanicus, the walls, towers, and ditches built to keep Rome safe, you begin to wonder if there isn’t something far more sinister lurking in the dark forests than resistance. If there is, is there any way to keep it at bay? This full-length adventure also includes designs for a Roman castrum (castle).

Kickstart the Superheroic World of Daring Comics!

Daring Comics Kickstarter ProjectHelp start a whole new world of superheroics with the Daring Comics Kickstarter project! This four-color comic books setting for Savage Worlds comes from the creative team at Daring Entertainment and fully utilizes the Super Powers Companion (Second Edition).

The Kickstarter also includes the plans for multiple Mega-Event books. Think of them as a cross between a Plot Point Campaign and a comics cross-over story arc. Add one of those and—BAM!—you’re ready to start the high-flyin’ action.

The Daring Comics universe and Hellbrood (the first planned Mega-Event book) are definitely worth a look, so be sure to check out the Daring Comics Kickstarter project for full details on the books, the stretch goals, and some amazing make-me-a-part-of-it backer levels. It’ll be gone in a flash!*

*And that’s definitely with a lower-case f. We don’t need to be starting any super-trouble…

Sail the Haunted Straits of the Broken Earth

The Haunted Straits for Broken EarthRebuilding commerce in a post-apocalyptic Northern Midwest is a good way to make money. Boat trade should be an easy way to connect Wright Town to Geneva and Scrap City on Lake Michigan. Once on the lake, they may even be able to reach the open sea if the pre-War maps are right at all.

But first there’s the Haunted Straits. Is it really filled with vengeful spirits driving away outsiders? Can it be allowed to blocked progress? Can you stop it if it tries?

The Haunted Straits describes an isolated community, the history of the area, and the important NPCs. The Haunted Straits is filled with plot points specifically for the ENnie nominated Broken Earth setting from Sneak Attack Press, but could be used with any post-apocalyptic campaign.
