We recently learned that game developer Zach Best is in hospice care. As a way to support him and his family in this very difficult time, a benefit bundle has been set up over at DriveThruRPG.com. If you’d like to get your hands on a copy of the Savage Worlds Deluxe PDF (along with some really great independent game titles), this is a fantastic way to do it.
The price of the bundle is just $10, but you get well over $100 worth of terrific gaming materials for your donation.
You can find the bundle here: Zach Best Family Benefit Bundle
This promotion runs through this Friday (August 19th) and all proceeds from the sale will go directly to Zach and his family.
Space may be infinite, but Kickstarters aren’t. The Last Parsec Kickstarter project closes this Thursday, October 23, at 12:23 pm EDT (9:23 am PDT).
Don’t despair! You still have time to join up and grab a few more of our Stretch Goals. Just this week, Last Parsec Figure Flats II: Terrors of Deep Space were unlocked. That’s our ninth Stretch Goal so far, and the next ones mean more Last Parsec Miniatures for everyone getting any minis at all—at no additional cost! You can also get your hands on new add-ons, like Savage Worlds Deluxe, the Savage Worlds Science Fiction Companion, and the new custom Last Parsec Dice Set.
You’ll also have lots of things to remember us by! Just this week, we’ve put out John Goff’s latest Last Parsec One-Sheet, Catch of the Day. You can also get the Design Diary Volume 4 for more insights into the creation of The Last Parsec material. Remember, you can get all the Design Diaries, One Sheets, and other free resources (like the Last Parsec Character Sheet) from the Downloads section at the right of the Last Parsec page. And there’s always the entire Wendigo Tales Season 3 for you—six different tales of life in The Last Parsec, ready for your reading pleasure.
If you care about yourself at all, do yourself two little favors before it’s too late—get the full-size JumpCorp Asimov Logic poster so you don’t forget to take routine safety precautions and visit The Last Parsec Kickstarter project while you can still do something about it!
If you’re coming to Gen Con, be sure to come see us and get in on all the Savage Worlds goodness you can!
Once again, Pinnacle Entertainment Group will be with Studio 2 Publishing in Booth 419. Pinnacle staff will be poppin’ in and out of the booth, so drop by for your chance to catch one live!
While you’re there, keep your eyes open for all our printed products as well as direct and show-only materials like our customized bennies or specialized dice. All the exciting new stuff will be there, too—Savage Worlds Deluxe: Explorer’s Edition, Hell on Earth Reloaded, a Hell on Earth Reloaded Soundtrack, The Last Sons Plot Point Campaign for Deadlands Reloaded, and the world debut of the Savage Worlds Miniatures Case!
Savage Saturday Night will be chock-full of Savage Worlds gaming. Come on by Saturday at 8:00 pm in the Marriott Indiana Ballroom E, even if you’ve only got generic tickets and a dream. Once again, we’ll be pairing up players with additional GMs as we can, so don’t lose hope. That also means if you’ve got a Savage Worlds game you’re willing to run, be sure to contact Evil Mike and Chaos Steve as early as you can.
The Pinnacle Seminar is Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Crowne Plaza, Pennsylvania Station A. Drop by for an hour or so of previews and Q&As with both Pinnacle and the available Savage Worlds licensees. I’m sure Shane will let something slip, so listen close!
And neither last nor least, if you find yourself at loose ends Friday around 9:00 pm, take a moment to be jealous of The Don’s Party for our very special Kickstarter supporters of Deadlands Noir.
Whatever you do, be sure to enjoy your time at Gen Con, and we hope you enjoy some of that time with us!
