This weekend (May 12th-14th), join Pinnacle alums Shane Hensley, Jodi & Clint Black, Sean Patrick Fannon, Preston DuBose, Ed Wetterman, and Sara & Brendan Quinn, along with a whole host of Savage Worlds licensees at Chupacabracon IV at the Wingate Hotel & Conference Center in Austin, TX.
Friday night from 6:00-8:00pm hang with the Pinnacle party people for a real-life East Texas University tailgate out in the parking lot. Enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages until they’re gone. Challenge a Savage Worlds celeb to a tailgate game like ladder toss or washers for the price of a small donation to the con charity, nonprofit Austin Creative Pathways. And in true tailgate fashion, join us in a round of the ETU Fight Song which we’ll then share online for all! Go Ravens!
After this, our own Clint Black slides behind his GM screen for a star-studded Savage Worlds charity game (Arcti-Gator vs. Croco-Sharkasaurus: A Syfy Original Movie) featuring members of the Pinnacle Entertainment Group staff and just maybe guest starring… YOU! Folks watching can influence the game by deciding who plays which character or even buying player and GM Bennies via cash donations to the con charity.
There are also one-on-one mentorship programs as well as a host of panels on a variety of subjects ranging from AMAs to GMing 101 to the Pinnacle Round Table! And, of course, there’s Savage Saturday Night featuring 10 jam-packed tables of Savage goodness!
Hope to see you there!
Celebrate all things Savage at Chupacabracon with an unparalleled gathering of Pinnacle personnel!*
Chupacabracon IV takes place May 12th-14th at the Wingate Hotel & Conference Center in Austin, TX. Challenge a Savage Worlds celebrity to a tailgate game like washers or ladder toss for the price of a small donation to the con charity. * Try saying that three times fast!
Come to GameStorm March 20-23 in Vancouver, Washington. Our own Shane Hensley (the RPG Guest of Honor) and John Goff will both be there running games for new friends and old! Shane will be running The Midnight Suns (Marvel’s best horror-themed heroes and heroines powered by the Savage Worlds Super Powers Companion) and The Last Parsec (a preview of our upcoming science fiction setting). Join John Goff as he brings Deadlands: Reloaded into the future, running games of Deadlands Noir and Deadlands: Hell on Earth!
If you live a little more toward the east, come see us at MACE West in Asheville, North Carolina, March 21-23. Catch up with Clint Black, Jodi Black, and Joel Kinstle and play one of the several Savage Saturday Night games or the many, many Savage Worlds games throughout the weekend!
If you need a little more lead time or a European option, you’re in luck! Shane will also be at BBE Con in Lyon, France on April 19. If you’re a French speaker or can operate a web translator, check out BBE Con web site for more information.
We can’t really say enough good things about MACE 2013 this last weekend!
Savage Saturday Night was a blast, and the special Savage Worlds Tenth Anniversary Party hosted by MACE and Beautiful Brains Books & Games was a cupcake-filled spectacular! The range of games—the variety of applications you, our fans, find for Savage Worlds—continues to amaze us.
But don’t just listen to me yammer on about it. Check out the photos of “Chaos” Steve Todd’s highly-acclaimed Weird Wars Rome game. Or watch our Facebook or Google+ pages for more photos. Or visit the Pinnacle Forums for a general MACE follow-up discussion!
We all had a great time, and we look forward to seeing you at more conventions in the coming year!
Will we be seeing you at MACE 2013 this weekend? You’re not going to want to miss it!
Help us celebrate Savage World’s tenth anniversary with a Savage Saturday Night featuring a special “post-party” at midnight hosted by MACE and Beautiful Brains Books & Games. With this many Pinnacle staffers, it’s a sight to be seen! Watch for:
We’ll see you there! [With so many of us working on a cooperative Notice check, we almost can’t help it!]
Now’s the time to plan ahead for what may be the highest concentration of Pinnacle staffers in a very long time—MACE 2013! Don’t believe me? Here’s a list:
We’ll be all over the place, but especially at Savage Saturday Night! In honor of Savage Worlds’ tenth anniversary, MACE and Beautiful Brains Books & Games will be hosting a special “post-party” at midnight. I hear there’ll be cake, soda, laughter, reminiscing, and the ritual watching-Steve-fall-asleep—all things not to miss!
See you there!
* I have no doubt she’ll tell me that should be “Force With Which to Be Reckoned”!
Once again, we loved seeing all of you at Gen Con! As always, it was great getting the chance to talk to you individually at the booth and as a group at the Savage Worlds panel.
The host of Savage Worlds gaming was awesome. It’s always nice to hear how much you like the games we run, but seeing everything that you do with the system makes us proud. And we couldn’t have been prouder of the range and excitement of the games at Savage Saturday Night—that was 30 tables with 220 participants, you know!
Oh, and Savage Worlds Deluxe seems to have won the Gold ENnie for Best Game! Thanks for your support and enthusiasm. If this were live, we’d probably be blushing about now.
If you’re coming to Gen Con, be sure to come see us and get in on all the Savage Worlds goodness you can!
Once again, Pinnacle Entertainment Group will be with Studio 2 Publishing in Booth 419. Pinnacle staff will be poppin’ in and out of the booth, so drop by for your chance to catch one live!
While you’re there, keep your eyes open for all our printed products as well as direct and show-only materials like our customized bennies or specialized dice. All the exciting new stuff will be there, too—Savage Worlds Deluxe: Explorer’s Edition, Hell on Earth Reloaded, a Hell on Earth Reloaded Soundtrack, The Last Sons Plot Point Campaign for Deadlands Reloaded, and the world debut of the Savage Worlds Miniatures Case!
Savage Saturday Night will be chock-full of Savage Worlds gaming. Come on by Saturday at 8:00 pm in the Marriott Indiana Ballroom E, even if you’ve only got generic tickets and a dream. Once again, we’ll be pairing up players with additional GMs as we can, so don’t lose hope. That also means if you’ve got a Savage Worlds game you’re willing to run, be sure to contact Evil Mike and Chaos Steve as early as you can.
The Pinnacle Seminar is Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Crowne Plaza, Pennsylvania Station A. Drop by for an hour or so of previews and Q&As with both Pinnacle and the available Savage Worlds licensees. I’m sure Shane will let something slip, so listen close!
And neither last nor least, if you find yourself at loose ends Friday around 9:00 pm, take a moment to be jealous of The Don’s Party for our very special Kickstarter supporters of Deadlands Noir.
Whatever you do, be sure to enjoy your time at Gen Con, and we hope you enjoy some of that time with us!
