This weekend (February 23rd-25th), catch up with Jodi Black (Chief Operations Officer and Managing Editor for Pinnacle Entertainment Group) and Clint Black (Savage Worlds Core Rules Brand Manager) at Con Nooga, Chattanooga’s largest multi-fandom convention held at the 160,000 square foot Chattanooga Convention Center.
While they will be in the exhibit hall promoting their incredible line of tables available through their company, Carolina Game Tables, both will also be happy to answer your Savage Worlds questions and maybe even share a few tidbits about the upcoming Savage Worlds Black!
This weekend, if you’re lucky enough to be attending PAX Unplugged in the City of Brotherly Love (that’s Philly, btw), you’ll find plenty of Pinnacle products over in booth 233 (Studio 2 Publishing). And just up the aisle, be sure to pop by Carolina Game Tables in booth 349 to check out their amazing tables and accessories and to say “Hi” to our very own Jodi and Clint Black.
Also note that our partners with Pine Box Entertainment will be running Doomtown events over in the Tabletop Freeplay area all weekend long. Visit their blog for more information and have a great time at PAX Unplugged, pardners!
Recently, Nerdarchist Dave (of Nerdarchy) sat down (virtually, anyway) with our own Clint Black for a casual chat about Savage Worlds, live-streaming RPGs (from Geek & Sundry to Saving Throw), and Carolina Game Tables. Find out exactly how Clint balances our Savage Worlds game system for Pinnacle Entertainment Group, learn about some of our many Savage Worlds lines (including Lankhmar and Necessary Evil), and get a little inside scoop about the Flash Gordon Roleplaying Game coming soon to Kickstarter. “Gordon’s ALIVE?!”
Clint even gets a chance to talk a bit about his legendary Savage Worlds convention games, Arcti-Gator vs. Croco-Sharkasaurus as well as it’s out-of-control sequel, Arcti-Gator Rex vs. Robo-Croco-Sharkasaurus (neither of which is coming soon to Syfy).
Find that fantastic interview here!
For those making the trip to Atlanta, GA for Dragon Con this weekend (September 1st – 4th), you can find Clint and Jodi Black showing their incredible line of game tables on the third floor of the AmericasMart, booth 813.
While they’re there to promote their tables (including the jaw-droppingly impressive “Cabinet Game Table”) they’re both always happy to chat about Savage Worlds and all the goings-on with Pinnacle Entertainment Group.
Swing by booth 813 to say “Hi” and be sure to follow Carolina Game Tables at their website, on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
We’ll be sharing lots of exciting news with you from Gen Con 50 over the next few weeks, but one thing we definitely wanted to get into your hands now is this new, exclusive wallpaper (available in various sizes for your PC, tablet, or phone) featuring several of our current products as well as a few surprises!
Grab the free image here and be sure to take a real close look.
Once in a while, we get questions about topics we’ve already addressed in our weekly news updates and while we’re always happy to respond, we do recommend subscribing to our weekly newsletter (aka The Pinnacle Post) to ensure you get the news delivered right to your inbox each and every week. Along with all the latest headlines from inside the hallowed halls of Pinnacle Entertainment Group, signing up for the newsletter also guarantees you’ll be the first to know when certain products are available for pre-order or immediate purchase.
For example, starting next week, you’ll be able to order the print + PDF copy of the third incredible issue of Savage Worlds Explorer, and if you sign up for the newsletter, you’ll know exactly when that will be happening and where to go to place your order!
You’ll also get occasional updates directly from us (like special sales or Kickstarter announcements), but don’t worry—we won’t spam you, we won’t sell your information, and we’ll keep the traffic light.
Lastly, for those attending Gen Con next week, copies of all three issues of Savage Worlds Explorer will be available for purchase at the Pinnacle Entertainment Group booth (#1929).
It’s the 1st of August and that means we’re just a couple weeks away from the start of Gen Con 50. My how time flies when you’re having fun!
For those running four or more official Savage Worlds games (those published by Pinnacle Entertainment Group) at Gen Con this year, we’ve got an incredible name-embroidered shirt for you to wear while you show your players a SAVAGE good time.
To ensure you don’t miss out, submit the Gen Con confirmation Email of all the Pinnacle games you’re running (plus the name you’d like on your shirt) to Jeannine at email@example.com by the end of the day TODAY to ensure we get your shirt ordered in time! This is the FINAL DAY for submitting your info for a name-embroidered shirt! Don’t miss out!
After today, plain shirts (Savage Worlds logo on the back, but no embroidered name) will be available for sale.
For those who may not have been following along, one of our own, Pinnacle webmaster Sara Quinn, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. After Sara and her husband Brendan (collectively known as Squid & Crow) worked out all the deets with their insurance company (and raised additional funds thanks to the generosity of so many of you in the Savage community), Sara underwent surgery over the weekend.
So far it looks like everything went extremely well (Sara has actually posted a few updates online) and we couldn’t be happier for her!
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone for your support and we all look forward to Sara making a quick and full recovery!
Even though Gen Con 50 is still several weeks away, those planning on attending will want to clear some space on their calendar now for both of our scheduled seminars on Saturday, August 19th at the Crowne Plaza, Victoria Station, in Room C/D:
From 5-6pm, it’s the official PEG Seminar where you’ll get all the scoop about upcoming Pinnacle and Pulposaurus plans straight from the mouths of those on the inside!
Immediately after that, from 6-7pm, stay in your seats as we hand the mics over to several of our awesome Official Savage Worlds Licensees to find out what Savage excitement they have in store for the future!
Pinnacle Entertainment is so much more than just a game company. Internally, we all feel like members of a rather special family.
Recently, one of our long-time webmasters, Sara Quinn, found out she has a brain tumor. Sara and her husband Brendan (collectively known as Squid & Crow) have been working closely with us for years now, and we all want nothing more than to see Sara rise above this and come out triumphant and healthy.
At the moment, Sara and Brendan are having some serious issues with their insurance company and as the tumor needs to be treated sooner than later, they have set up a GoFundMe to help pay for the imminent procedure and all related expenses.
If you would like to help out, please visit Sara’s GoFundMe page to make a donation and be sure to follow Sara’s blog for updates on her progress. We’re all pulling for you, Sara!
