Deadlands Noir—Updates and Downloads

Deadlands Noir Kickstarter UpdatesHave you been keeping up with the Deadlands Noir Kickstarter updates? You should watch it like a vengeful monkey with a shotgun and a bottle of tequila.

Earlier this month, we released the Deadlands Noir original soundtrack by Harry Mack. If your peepers were on the updates page, you could’ve enjoyed the free sample track for nearly a month now!

We’ve just added our latest—and unannounced— reward release: the digital version of Cheyenne Wright’s massive map of New Orleans! You can print it as a poster for the full-size experience or fit it to the page to help line the pockets of your trench coat.

The Deadlands Noir backers site also contains the Tenement Men dime novel and your PDF copy of Savage Worlds Deluxe. Just log in with the e-mail you used to back the Kickstarter, and download away. [Be sure to right-click and Save As for better downloading!]

And keep yours eyes peeled. Word on the street is that the next release is coming soon!

Put a Little Back East in Your Weird West with the New Muckraker Mini!

Muckraker Deadlands MiniIs the pen mightier than the sword even when most folks don’t believe a word of the truth you’re sendin’ back? Welcome to the thankless life of a muckraker in the Weird West, amigo.

It ain’t an easy path, findin’ the strangest, most dangerous things the West has to offer and reporting to the unconvinced masses and ragtag few crazy believers. Committing nameless horrors to print can be an unhealthy profession, especially when those horrors prefer to remain nameless!

At least now you can stand tall—well, as tall as any other miniature—with the release of Reaper’s muckraker mini! Be sure to check out the full Savage Worlds miniature line while you’re at it—after all, a muckraker’s life expectancy goes up quite a bit if he travels with a few friends. Nobody said the pen was mightier than a few six-guns, partner!

Deadlands Blood Drive Continues with High Plains Drovers

Blood Drive Two: High Plains DroversThe trail is long and hard, amigo, and with beeves to move before you sleep. Your posse’s long-haul cattle drive continues with Blood Drive 2: High Plains Drovers! Starting just outside of Denver to a promised land in Wyoming, this adventure ups the ante with your cowpokes getting a share of the expanding herd. Between your new ownership and the high plains, the stakes (and steaks) have never been higher! High Plains Drovers is the second installment in the Blood Drive series.

The Blood Drive series is a complete campaign. Each adventure starts and ends in such a fashion that if you want to use it by itself without the others in the series, you can easily do so. In fact, they’re perfect for getting a posse from one part of the Weird West to another if that’s what you’re looking for, Marshal. Used together, the three combine to take the heroes from greenhorn cowpunchers to hardened trail hands fighting for their cattle, their land, and even their lives!

If you think the first book’s four words of fear (“written by John Goff”) were bad, wait’ll you get a load of “longhorns burstin’ like popcorn!” And don’t stop worryin’—it’s still written by John Goff.

Blood Drive 1: Bad Times on the GoodnightHave you been pinin’ away for new Deadlands material? We figured you were, so here you go!

If the Weird West was built by hard work, I guess it’s time your posse got ‘em some calluses. Blood Drive 1: Bad Times on the Goodnight puts your heroes on one of the longest, most danger-fraught cattle drives in the Weird West—spanning two countries, a war-torn no man’s land, and the Sioux Nations! Along the way, they’ll cross paths with virtually every major railroad, bloodthirsty border raiders, Indian war parties, and of course, nightmares of the sort found only in a land ravaged by the horrors of the Reckoning. Bad Times on the Goodnight is the first installment in the Blood Drive series.

And if all that honest work sounds like too easy a way to pass the time, I’ve got four words for you—”written by John Goff.”

Raven Graphic Novel Kickstarter Going Strong and Getting Better

Raven Graphic Novel KickstarterVisionary Comic’s Raven Graphic Novel Kickstarter is well over a quarter way to its goal! It’s an exciting time for Deadlands fans, but it’s an even better time for the Kickstarter backers—Visionary has already met four stetch goals, sweetening the pot each time.

At $1,000, each and every backer gets 10% off Deadlands PDFs! When the Kickstarter campaign closes down, you’ll get an e-mail with further details for getting your discount.

At $2,000, they’re giving every supporter a free PDF of the brand new 8-page short story written by Matthew Cutter, our own Deadlands Brand Manager and co-writer on the Raven graphic novel! You can also get that in print in the Dead Man’s Hand trade paperback.

At $3,000, they added a 16-page bonus supplement written by Shane Lacy Hensley, the original creator of Deadlands and Raven! What it is exactly is still a secret, but it’s definitely going to be 16 pages of all Shane, all Deadlands! This will only be in the print collected editions, so be sure you’ve got the $25 Bonus Level of Just Give me the Trade or the $50 Ravenite Tier Level.

At $4,000, Visionary had two surprises. First, they added additional bonus levels for folks who want just the trades and nothing else—for $15, add the Dead Man’s Hand trade or add both the Dead Man’s Hand and Raven printed trades for $40. Second, they dug deep into their supplies and came up with 25 more Collector’s Packs, since they’ve been so popular!

For the full low-down and to see what might happen at $5,000 and beyond, be sure to check out the Raven Graphic Novel Kickstarter page today!

Kickstart the Raven Graphic Novel!

Raven Graphic Novel KickstarterVisionary Comics is expanding on their acclaimed Deadlands One-Shots comics by telling the original story of Deadlands itself—the story of Raven. Dive into a new tale with an old motivation, and learn the secrets of the beginning of the Reckoning.

Raven is being written by Matthew Cutter (the Deadlands Brand Manager) and C. Edward Sellner (CCO of Visionary Comics and writer of The Kid), with the blessing and involvement of Shane Hensley, the man who started it all. Greg LaRocque is set to be the artist and is best known for his work on The Flash and Legion of Super-Heroes.

And this is just the beginning, amigos. Visionary’s ready to do something only the insane would consider—tackle all four Servitors of the Reckoning. That’s right, Reverend Grimme, Stone, and Professor Darius Hellstromme are all ready to take their turn on the stage after Raven. They’re just waiting on your support!
