If a character is panicked in combat from a fear check, what kind of action is their subsequent spirit rolls to recover? We've been playing it as a free action, but I couldn't find anything definitive in the Deluxe Edition rules.

A Panicked character is simply Shaken (after running away) as noted in the description; they recover from Shaken as per the normal rules.
