So I have been given a used copy of the First printing of the Necessary Evil setting.
Can I run it as is? Or do I really need to update it to Deluxe(or Explorers)?
Or do I just need to track down Explorer's Edition of it instead?
If I can just use it (with changes) what things should I look to change/adjust?
The superpowers compendium drew most of its stuff from NE. But adds a lot for HQ's and other things. So its a good add on for latter. _________________ "I say Mr. Chesterson, is that a giant ether squid following us?"

Thanks
Give a look about the Strength notation in melee weapons. It was changed form SW Reloaded and SW Explorer Edition.
Example: Str+1 becomes Str+d4, Str+2 becomes Str+d6 and so on. You can find more searching in the forum.
PS: I dunno if the 1st edition you got has that notation. I have the EE version. _________________ "Balance is the key, Trapping is the word." - - Lord Lance
There were a few changes to some of the gear (notably the blaster guns), as well as the AP extra for the Attack powers (+1 for 2 AP). Some updates to a few of the statblocks, and a few other small changes.
But you can run it as is. Have fun! _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."
