Hello fellow gamers
Does anybody know what guns the biker on the HOE cover art is wielding and are they included in the game? |

To me it looks like all Ol Cole Ballard has is a Sawed off Shotgun, and a high powered revolver with a scope. It also could be just the artist renderings of them, or he being a Law Dog extraordinaire, he could have modded his weapons himself. I doubt they are junker tech, but that is always a option if you want. _________________ Locked, Loaded, and Ready to make S*it dead!

The biker is actually a character?
I really gotta devour the lore more
An entirely different question, are really all the Weird West and Wasted West released books available in pdf on the website?
Thanks |

Yep. He's got a full character write-up in the Wasted West (he started off as a play-test PC, and got added to the setting). If I remember correctly, his stats include a Southern Alliance Officer's Pistol and an Auto-Shotgun.

With the exception of The Quick & The Dead (Weird West), the answer should be "Yes". Shane has said (a couple of times) that Q&D will not be reproduced. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

I always thought he was holding the CAS 40mm Grenade Launcher and some kind of Junker Weapon (Plasma Pistol?) myself.
And, yes, that's Cole Ballard, who would be Hell On Earth's Badass Personified if it wasn't for Templar Jo. _________________ "Grab a wackin' stick, boy! Time to learn these here undead some manners!" - Percy Spencer, to his Son, Kevin. |

I cold have swore that yesterday I posted the message "Pics or it didn't happen"
show us a link to the cover
And Cole Ballard just sounds like he needs a western balled "The legend of Cole Ballard" but who can we get to record it and preform at cons so that they can legally claim that Clint Black will sing at the con to boost attendance _________________ http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/Vondan/ |

I'll throw in for those who aren't aware: The Quick & The Dead was the original worldbook that accompanied the first printing of Deadlands Classic (which was one book for players and marshals). It also changed the way that Fate Chips were handled and added some new stuff for players. When they released the Revised edition of Deadlands, splitting the single book into the Player's Guide and the Marshal's Handbook, the information from The Quick & The Dead was moved into those two books (often times verbatim).
Since the same information is in the revised books and Pinnacle doesn't particularly care to sell the first edition, it's not going to be sold. (Although it's a pity that it means the fold out cheat for character creation and cool stylized map of the Weird West aren't going to be rereleased). _________________ Wild Card Creator: Any PDF. That, VonDan, would be a dirty, dirty trick. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

kinda sad cole ballad never really was too involved in any of the official adventures of metaplotty awesomesauce except for that one where he
[SPOILERS]
was killed horribly by Raven while doing absolutely nada. Why do all the greatest heroes in HOE die useless deaths? Teller, Cole, Jo (if only, if only). |

How come every Templar player i have met wrote in there back story that they were Jo's Paddywon. And that they were such great students Joe gave them one of her spare Katana at the end of training.
No one says they got a shotgun From Cole _________________ http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/Vondan/ |

Ah, well, you've never met me.
Mine was a Hollywood stuntman and fight choreographer. His sword was a blade from a Zorro movie that he was in. He even had a catchphrase, used whenever he was about to do something he probably shouldn't "Don't worry, I did this in a movie once" _________________ Currently Playing:

That's a good one Tavis. My brother had a funny one "It's okay, I'm a Doctor."
Never had a Templar (My PC/NPC or a player's character) claim such a connection with Jo.
Nancy in Hell (On Earth) is a comic that I had been interested in picking up, but always keep forgetting to.
On point Cole Ballad's equipment is in fact an automatic shotgun and a M-80 (Southern Alliance Officer's pistol). In all honesty though the cover just looks like the artist's "Heavy-Metal" interpretation. It does look more like he has a 40mm grenade launcher and a Laser Pistol.

Our alchemist always used "SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE: (YOUR DOOM, BULLETS TO THE FACE, ect.)
As for the heavy metal version, yeah I think we can safely state that the cover art is kinda like the packaging, don't expect it to resemble what happens inside. Especially templars fighting in tight pants, seriously, its called armor. You wear it to protect your vital organs. Use it. I mean seriously, what kind of shooting would you need to pull off the road warriors cover with cole mid air headshotting someone from his diving bike? |

Shooting TN 5.
Head (-6)
Range, appears to be short (-0)
Firer Mounted (-2)
Relative Speed (straight line, maybe -2)
Situational penalty for the Emergency Jump maneuver (maybe -4).
So, that's a -8 to -14, with Cole's 5d10 Shootin'. Very hard, but possible; effective TN 13 to 19, depending upon the situational stuff. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."
