Yeah, go the HeroClix route. You can buy lots of hundreds of them for pennies on the dollar! Though I typically cut them off their clix discs and rebase them. _________________ DAVROS: Tar Lubek Kaleed, Uth Ricta Dalek. my FLGS still has hundreds of Hero Clix for 50 cents,
To rebase them I found wood disk at Jo Ann's craft store that are 1" the same as a D&D mini base and I have been putting clix on them after painting the wood disk black _________________ http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/Vondan/

I've had good experiences with both Troll and Toad and Miniature Market. _________________ "Your GM is metagaming ... and wrong!" |

I'll ditto everyone else on Heroclix. My only complaint is that the clix bases are a bit big, but they can be replaced if you're up for the effort.
You can also find a good assortment of Heroclix singles at coolstuffinc under the headings of Marvel, Indy or DC. |

Wow, you were right about Toad and Troll. Heroclix for .15 cents? darn cheap. Paid more in shipping then the 50+ clix I bought. |

| De-based around a dozen or so Heroclix and based on 28mm bases, applied black primer and two superheroes painted. They look better than the originals, especially since I can color them to represent their character design. |

How did you get them off the click bases?
Feels like my x-acto blade is going to snap before the glue gives way. |

I used a little chisel shaped head for a larger xacto knife _________________ http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/Vondan/ |

Like the 17 but the next size larger the 27 ***
***research posted below tells us I used what xacto terms the 18
WTF looking and number 27 is a saw. With medical blades and most hobby blades the first number is the size and the second number is the blade shape. Thus the common pointy exacto blade is the 11 and the next size up is 21 etc. The curved blades are 10 20 etc up to the 60 i used to disect human livers
I used the chisel blade and a hammer _________________ http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h51/Vondan/

Here's a couple examples of a couple old Heroclix to new Super Powers miniatures. The are not totally finished as I have to add a little more detail but gives an idea of concept. I have to cut the shine out some and the pictures are a tad blurry, but you'll get the idea.

"Oracle" - Mind Reading/Stunning
