Given that RoF stats tend to be abstracted somewhat from real world firing rates (with the obvious exception of double-barreled weapons and the like), it stands to reason that a skilled operator might be able to push the weapon a little harder than the written RoF would indicate. So, given an Edge like:

Short, Controlled Bursts:

You've mastered the art of autofire, specifically keeping your weapon under control well enough to put a little extra lead on target. Treat the RoF of all automatic and semi-automatic weapons as 1 higher than listed; you can also use the weapon at normal Rof to conserve ammo if you choose.

How would you price this? It does allow a skilled shooter to use a semiautomatic pistol at RoF 2 or get an extra attack out of an assault rifle, so it seems like the closest equivalent is Frenzy for requirements (so Seasoned, Shooting D10?). This does step on Rock and Roll a little bit, but the two would obviously synergize nicely, so I don't think it's a serious problem. Thoughts?

My idea: Veteran, Rock & Roll.
Which means it also requires at least a d8 Shooting.

You could make it easier to take, for a more gun-happy setting. Heck you could make it a Novice edge, requiring a d6 shooting, but that would be ridiculous.

Frenzy is a pretty good comparison, but you can take the edge to remove the penalty at Seasoned with a d8 Shooting. This tells me that you may want to look at Improved Frenzy for your model - a Veteran edge.

Had an idea for a similar edge today for autofire.

Precise Gunner
Prerequisites: Rock and Roll, Veteran
Sometimes, even your "wild" shots hit. When using auto-fire, roll normally. If all shots as well as the wild die are hits, roll damage for all.

This makes a lot of sense, actually. I guess I tend to think of these as somewhat complementary effects, and for my purposes I'd rather not require one to have the other, but I think this would work as well.

editing: So, it's a bit off the topic, but I wonder if with the Edge (or without, even) it would be reasonable to let weapons with two (oddly enough, a thing) or three-round burst capability to fire two "bursts" at -1 or even (for the +2 three round bursts) or at +1/+2 with Rock and Roll. Would lose the +2 to damage, but would represent that little extra bit of control from the burst limiter. Just a thought.

Got a Home made feat, Fan fire - Seasoned, Shooting D8, Can fan fire a revolver for ROF 3 in one shot, Expends 6 shots, treated as Auto fire.

I just use "Rapid Assault"
Requirements: Veteran, Shooting d10+
Reduce the Rapid Attack penalty to Shooting by 2.

I was going to include Fighting attacks, but then I saw a Berserk Wild Rapid Attack with an Improved Trademark Weapon (3 fighting at +2 for damage +4 and parry -6) and decided that would be a touch too powerful. I may have to create an Improved version that eliminates the shooting penalty, but that's probably a Legendary edge.
