We're into september, gencon has come and gone, and now we're all a-wanting. any teasers? I'm already building a group but some of them are chomping at the bit, and the gencon pics only seemed to set them further off (especially about grifters. drunken hucksters? awesome!). Sooo... how about it? _________________ Freelancer and Proofreader (check me out in the Noir books!)

The first Dime Novel should be out in the not-too-distant future. Does that count as a teaser? _________________ John Goff |

Not quite, but I'll gladly take it!
Oh, wait, I get it as part of my Kickstarter. _________________ "Grab a wackin' stick, boy! Time to learn these here undead some manners!" - Percy Spencer, to his Son, Kevin. |

Sorry John, can't let you count that. Shane stated here that:
| Quote: | Hi Nils! No, the plan has always been to send everything out at roughly the same time in November in electronic form, including the Dime Novels. (...)
Thanks!
Shane |
So, no, that doesn't really count But I would gladly accept anything else |

Thats true - but is it a teaser anymore if it comes out the same time with the teasered product?
Oh since I wanted to prep some things before it comes out (hence the CSA dollars) I wondered if the Noir Walkin' Dead will be like the WW-Walkin' Dead (Smarts d4) or if they're already evolved into the smarter HoE Walkin' Dead (Sm d6)?
Or if the Weird West rulebook I have is just outdated |

...Did someone ask for a teaser?
| Deadlands Noir Companion wrote: | Not too long ago, mugs would jaw about how cheap life was in Shan Fan. In such a crush of humanity, they’d say, in the sprawl of skyscrapers, factories, and filth, some were bound to be suckers and a whole lot more were fated to kick off in tragic—often brutally violent—ways.
It was a city run by criminals, and overrun by the Americanized “Kangers” who’d only recently managed to achieve statehood for themselves. A man could get rich there, or get chilled off in the attempt.
In 1939, Shan Fan’s image has changed; now it’s a City of Industry. Kang Enterprises had already been investing deeply in patent science, but federal New Deal funds allowed the company to step up as a local contractor, putting hundreds of thousands back to work. Construction of the Kang Causeway—a modern highway spanning the Great Maze—has begun, and the Golden Span Bridge being erected across Shan Fan Bay will link the city directly to it. The future seems bright for North California.
But for those who know where to look, Shan Fan reveals its seedy underbelly of corruption, graft, and racketeering. Criminal gangs from half-a-dozen countries still face off nightly in bloody skirmishes to rule the streets. And nearly seven million innocents wait their turn to get caught in the crossfire. Wondering how so many people got there? Read on, chum. |
Just finished writing my part the other day, pretty stoked! _________________ Matthew Cutter
