Does a templar have to pay for his sword? I'm thinking yes, but just making sure.

My version says a templar starts with a tabard and a sword. Think it's a free perk of the Edge.

The Templar in the game I'm in cheesed it a bit and asked for the katana from the main SWD rulebook. Got it, too.

Oddly, I already "answered" this by accident in another thread about Classic. Wink

Short version: they can pay the difference for a katana, but it sure won't have the stats from the core rulebook.
