On pg. 28 of the 50 Fathoms Explorer's Edition, the pocket pistol is identical to the turn-out pistol in all ways except weight (range 10/20/40, 2d6+1 damage). Is that correct?

By comparison, the pocket pistol in the Pirates of the Spanish Main has a range of only 2/4/6 and does 2d6-1 damage.

For 50 Fathoms, yep. The only real differences are in the descriptions. The pocket pistol would be a little easier to hide, and the turn-out pistol can be breach loaded.
