The Healer edge says "A hero with this Edge adds +2 to all Healing rolls (including natural healing rolls for his own wounds), whether natural or magical in nature. Up to five companions travelling with a Healer add the bonus to their natural healing rolls as well."
I assume from the description that the +2 bonus applies not just to Healing rolls (as in a roll of the Healing skill), but also to Spellcraft/Faith/Weird Science/other Arcane Background skill rolls for the Healing (and Greater Healing) powers, and to the Vigor roll for natural healing every five days.
[Otherwise it wouldn't make sense as you don't make a Healing roll for natural healing (it's a Vigor roll) and you don't make a Healing roll for magic (it's a Spellcraft/Faith/etc roll).]
Does, however, the bonus apply to the Vigor roll made when using Smith & Robards Healing Unguent, which allows a Vigor roll that heals wounds if successful?
What about when using a Restoration Elixer, which specifically says "may make an immediate Vigor roll to recover wounds _as if healing naturally_"?
If it does apply to these potions, does it also apply for up to five companions (in particular does it apply to companions using Restoration Elixer due to the "as if healing naturally" clause)?
For that matter, does the Fast Healer edge also apply when using the Restoration Elixer (for the same reason)? Or to Healing Unguent? |

I'd say the answer is pretty much "Yes" to all of those questions.
The only thing I'd point out is that the bonus comes from being attended by the Healer, so while not a big issue, I'd say the Healer couldn't provide the bonus to more than one person per round. _________________ Clint Black
