The Acrobat edge says it gives a +2 to agility for moves made to perform acrobatic maneuvers. I've searched the forums trying to find what constitutes an "acrobatic maneuver," but have only come up with several posts of what it's not.

Could someone please give me some examples of where this bonus could be used?

I'd certainly allow it to give a bonus for the Extraction edge's Agility roll. Probably also any jumping/tumbling type rolls, though admittedly those aren't done that often. I'd allow it for a lot of Agility tricks, too, if it's described in an acrobatics-ish manner.

It specifically says "(including Trick maneuvers)"

Balancing, tight rope walking, swinging on a chandelier, jumping.

not sure about Extraction.

certainly you don't get the bonus if you can't, well, be acrobtic. tight quarters or etc.

Basically any time you're rolling Agility and not a skill. Tricks are the most common but some GMs will ask for Agility rolls for acrobatic feats or actions involving balance, contortions, and / or stretching.

I play my games cinematic, so your game may vary.
For example, in a cyberpunk game on player plays a acrobatic martial arts guy (DX: d10, Acrobat, Dogde, fleetfoot, etc.).
The group walk the sprawl and some drunken gangers stand on a roof and starting shooting. Its a sort of random encounter, so time to shine for the charakters. The sniper start aiming for headshots, the merc start firing full automatic with his machine gun.

The martial arts guy (armed with a katana and some throwing daggers) like to get close. So he ask if there is a quick way up.
"Sure, there are the emergency ladder at the side (10 incches away), the gangers use it probably, too. Normal use needs at least four rounds to climbing up. But with your acrobat Edge you could jump from platform to platform, with a Dexterity(-4+2 from acrobat)-2, it count as action and at the end of your movement you are at the top."
The players run the first round to the stairs, roll next round Dexterity-2 and start the third round at the top.

For someone without Acrobat I wouldnt allow this.

Ehh, I wouldn't allow it for Agility rolls such as "draw a weapon" or "escape from a grapple" or "catch a falling object".

I think you need to watch some Jackie Chan movies. I'm pretty sure he's done all those things in an acrobatic manner. Granted, generally, no the Acrobat edge doesn't apply, but it certainly COULD. For a Jackie Chan inspired character I would let it generally apply to escaping a grapple since he does it acrobatically all the time.

My criteria for an "acrobatic" maneuver are: 1) it must involve freely moving your whole body, and 2) your feet must leave the ground. So under normal circumstances you can't "acrobatically" escape a grapple because your body is too restrained, but you could do an "acrobatic" Trick by doing a backflip.

-- 77IM, this had to be clarified early on when an Acrobatic hero was trying to shake some zombies off his leg

In cases like this, I always refer to the good old OED

Oxford English dictionary:

Acrobat:
An entertainer who performs spectacular gymnastic feats.

Gymnastics:
Exercises developing or displaying physical agility and coordination.

Acrobatics:
Spectacular gymnastic feats

Agile (Agility):
Able to move quickly and easily

Coordination:
the ability to use different parts of the body together smoothly and efficiently:
changing from one foot position to another requires coordination and balance

I'd say almost anything that uses whole body (gross motor) movement, as opposed to finger manipulation (fine motor) is fair game.

Oddly enough, this doesn't include jumping, which is a straight up Strength check, IIRC.

Agility is used to lessen the effects of Falling, that could look very acrobatic.

Also, if you're running a foot chase with lots of obstacles, I'd allow it.
