I love explorer edition size, it just emphasizes the concentrated fun of this system.

Just dropping in to offer my wholehearted support for your acronym. I used "DLN" in an e-mail to Shane the other day. _________________ Matthew Cutter

I kind of like having the hardcover, from the GM point of view, then being able to get the players in on the action with the Explorers sized books. But that's just my preference (and unfortunately it hasn't worked out too well for me thus far). _________________ "It is requisite for the relaxation of the mind that we make use, from time to time, of playful deeds and jokes."--Saint Thomas Aquinas

Convenience, durability, and portability are the high points for me. I buy game books in PDF, exclusively.
The only time I will buy a paper book is when that's the only format available and I have a specific requirement for it, e.g. textbooks. Other than that, if a product is only available in paper, I will choose a competing product or nothing at all.
That ebooks are less expensive is a bonus but has no influence on purchasing decisions. |

| I'd like to see it dual released in both hardcover and EE, as part of the stretch goals. Let backers of middle tiers get their choice, and upper tiers get both. It would be an interesting experiment to see which was more in demand among the sample group of backers. |

| I like hardbacks (I'm old-school on that) I aslo buy PDFs (as a GM they are really useful) The EX editions are nice - a lot of work goes ino making the savage worlds books look real good. Reducing the size - lessens the impact. |

1) It will be an Explorer's Edition when the hardback sells out, just like all the rest.
2) Did you really have to make this a permanent thread by making a poll out of it?

| I more or less had my arm twisted but I saw this and had to back it. I find it quite amusing that the project still has almost a full month to go and it's already fully funded almost 4 times over already. I wonder, how long idid it take to make that first $8K? If I were a betting man I'd say not long, maybe a week. |

As of just now, it was at $32,196 with 27 days remaining. It is a 30 day venture. I'd say there is interest... _________________ "I had a whole bunch of advice for you but got ninja'd by newForumNewName. I'd just do what he says." -- 77IM

I primarily get PDFs now (tablet readers and laptop normally) but when I do get a SW book, I prefer the EX edition. Mainly it is the price that decides me but I do like the size in general.
Right now I'm only in DLN kickstarter for the pdf. If EX is offered I'll get that. _________________ Currently running: Deadlands (RL): "The Flood" |

I will second everything here, though to me size is a more important consideration for me than the price. I would gladly pay $20 for an EX version, I just really prefer the smaller size for the sake of portability. |

Deadlands, Necessary Evil, and 50 Fathoms are companions now?

Some of us prefer the EE format and kickstarters are all about letting people vote with their money. If they decide to offer the EE format as a stretch goal, I'll up my contribution to PDF+EE+Chips+Cards immediately.

All these books are in EE format: DL Marshals, DL Players, DL Smith & Robards, Necessary Evil, 50 Fathoms...
I pretty much wait to pick up books until the come out in EE format... if I have to have it before that I get the pdf. _________________ Currently running: Deadlands (RL): "The Flood" |

If ever there was a question as to whether or not there would be any interest in a project such as this, I think the response so far is more or less an emphatic yes from those of us who like Savage Worlds. I'm pledging $100 to see this through as the premise intrigues me. Even if I never use the setting RAW It will be worth it to me to have a toolkit for Gumshoes and Gangsters. Plus I am curious to see how you advance the timeline. As far as I'm concerned I'm getting this as a pre-order, the oppurtunity to run game sessions where the main inspiration is a Bogey film like the Maltese Falcon or Key Largo and in some horror elements and maybe even get more mileage out that copy of Realms of Cthulhu I prouidly own is too good an oppurtunity to pass up. |

| I have a request for the deck all $75+ backers get and that is could you please make it a 3 joker deck? I prefer using such decks when I run Savage Worlds to give my players an increased chance at getting a joker in play. |
