Hi everybody!
As virutally all of you know, we make the Wellstone City setting and the Wellstone City Chronicles that accompany it. We've had a hell of a good time doing it so far, and I'd like to just say that we're going to keep pumping them out as fast as we can to still make them what you expect of them.
For those of you who have purchased them, you might have noticed that there's a marked increase in quality and length of the adventures between the first two individual Wellstone City Chronicles and the newest ones. There's a very simple reason for that.
Originally, they were intended to be put out monthly, or at most, bi-monthly, with 24 of them planned. However...I grossly over-estimated my amount of free time and under-estimated the amount of time involved with the projects, and the more I got into them, the longer and longer they ended up getting. Now we put out two or three a year, and we'd like to accellerate that somewhat, but no promises on that front.
So what I'm doing is going ahead and freshening up the first two. They're getting more details put in, the ever-helpful sections on GM Bennies, sidebars, a little flavor text for when it's best served to your players, and best of all, awesome maps from our friends at Fabled Environments.
First up on the block is Two-Bit Thugs, which should go from right at 6 pages to probably 12 or better, plus have new maps for it created specifically for Two-Bit Thugs by the creative genius at Fabled Environments. As always, we're planning a map bundle so if you want the maps printed on 1-inch squares, you can get them for a modest price!
Want a taste? You know you do....
“All right, ya gotta listen. Listen good, and keep your trap shut about this. Can’t leak this to anyone, ya got that?”
Quinn was a caricature of the Irish: wiry, prone to violence, tough as nails, and eternally drunk. But he was one of the best couriers they had. If they needed information passed to someone, they used Quinn. The someone that needed information just happened to be me.
“Last night, up in the Park, some lady got killed. Got caught in a gang fight.”
He paused. It took me five seconds to let the impact of that statement hit me, and when it did, my subconsciously held breath let loose from me like steam from a boiler.
“Neutral territory. Holy Ground. I dunno know what the hell they think they was doin’ but they got a lot of people mad. Importan’ people.”
“Like who?” I asked, almost not wanting to hear the answer. Quinn was getting twitchier. His upper lip began to sweat and his tongue flicked out to taste the salt.
“Like the Mayor, that’s who. Her lady escort went for a midnight run and ended up catching a couple of rounds of 9. Killed her bad, blood everywhere, parts of her were all…you know what, forget it ‘fore ya can’t. Ya dunwant that picture in yer head, it’s bad enough for me, I seen it.”
The Irishman pauses to gather himself for a minute and he tries to shake the chills away. I know that it’s not going to work, but it’s reflex. We all do it. I’ve never once forgotten any of the carnage I’ve seen, whether I caused it or not, and I know Quinn won’t either.
“Anyway, Mayor’s offerin’ 20 large to take out the two gang leaders, plus two for each of their boys. Ain’t much, but get this: get outta jail free card is in there to sweeten the pot.”
I felt my lips curl in a smile. The Mick looks over his shoulder, I look too, and we see a black sedan roll slowly by. He grabs a scrap of paper from his pocket and a pen. I watch as a phone number hastily appears over the top of a receipt from Wellstone Waffles. Belgium, extra butter, powdered sugar, coffee; not what I’d imagine the man had for breakfast 12 hours ago, but completely within his character.
“I gotta go, but call that number in three hours,” Quinn shouted as he bolted. I looked back and the sedan had rolled backwards with a window rolled down. I barely had time to get behind a dumpster before a silenced load from an SMG came screaming my way. I look back and Quinn is no where to be seen, but I can hear his footsteps echoing on concrete as he runs for his life, punctuated by the squealing of rubber on road as the sedan makes a break for it.
It isn’t easy being a snitch anywhere, especially not in Wellstone.

I suppose it's also worth mentioning...since we'll be updating the product on our sales points, we'll make sure that everyone that we can contact is aware of the change and can get the downloads of their product that they purchased.
There's no sense in charging you what you've already paid for... _________________ Kevin Rohan, Content Director

There is also maybe the chance that I'll go ahead and put the first few Wellstone City Chronicles in paperback.... _________________ Kevin Rohan, Content Director
