Hey Clint!

So I am in the process of testing the chase rules in SWD for the first time, in preparation for a space opera homebrew I'll be running soon and I had three questions.

1. Would the modifiers listed for the maneuvering roll (higher top speed, terrain, etc) apply to Force rolls as well?

2. Does the penalty from failing a Force roll apply to just the maneuvering roll atthe start of the round or to other Piloting rolls?

3. Do multiple Force rolls stack? Thus is two enemy starfighters successfully Force an escaping freighter, would the freighter's pilot be at -4 to his Piloting rolls?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, the only external effect is range.

As stated <italics added>, "the target suffers a –2 to his next maneuvering Trait roll."

It affects the next roll the target has to make for whatever reason, and after that roll, the penalty is gone.

As per the previous answer, stacking the penalty is impossible as the target would have to make a separate maneuvering Trait roll against each attempt.

If he failed the first one, then the -2 penalty would just apply to his opposed roll against the second one since that would be "his next maneuvering Trait roll" and so on.

Multiple Force attempts would make it more likely that a raise occurs, and each Force attempt can result in its own raise result (the target hitting an obstacle).

Hope that helps.
