| I have a circle cutter, but its not very good for anything under a couple inches. Anyone know of something good for around 1"? |

| Either stickers or Cardstock. I'm thinking of making some custom bennies and/or some status counters. I'm more likely to buy printable round labels, but I'd still like to have something that'll do it, if possible. |

I don't like the sound of that Cutter-puncher.
Glad this thread's not about me. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Michaels has a number of hole punches for scrapebooking. I have a 1" circular one that works pretty made by Fiskar. (http://www2.fiskars.com/Products/Crafting/Punches/Squeeze-Punches)

That looks exactly like what I'm looking for. I was just in my local Michael's and didn't find anything like this. I'll swing by the scrapbooking section again and see if they've got any. Thanks. |

That green tool pictured will punch out 1" rounds and can be bought at Michaels. Makes for cutting out tokens a lot faster. (Technically that particular green one cuts them at .75" but I went smaller since I'm gluing to wooden rounds. They tools come in a variety of sizes) |
I believe you could find one at Michaels or Hobby Lobby stores. _________________

I know, those are pretty nicely made, too, for what they are.
I am an avid miniature painter, so I am a bit averse to pre-painted stuff, but if I had a specific need for them, I'd totally get them. |

One warning about those circular punches. Don't punch anything thicker than cardstock or you will break them. I learned that the hard way when trying to punch through chipboard.
Otherwise they work great. _________________ My Savage Worlds Blog

I picked up a couple of the Fiskar punches. They're pretty awesome, actually.
My plan, for now, is to simply print off some color images, put a strip of clear packing tape over it, punch it out, and then glue it onto some poker chips.
I've already tried punching out some B&W test images and they turned out nice. I just need to try gluing one down. Not sure what kind of glue to use yet. Luckily the chips I got were super cheap from a thrift store, so I can ruin a couple if need be. I'll post pics when I'm done. |

| Rubber glue should work just fine. |

| Have you tried printing onto circular stickers instead? I used the 1" punch but once I got my Word Template down right, it's enormously faster to drag and drop imagery into the squares and then print them out, stick them onto the 1" wooden discs you can get online or from Michael's. |

| I use 1" stickers that are actually heavy-duty Post-It adhesive. You can remove them if you try, but they don't come off all by themselves. And I tend to use 1" washers instead of the wooden discs. They're a little less "scooty" in my experience. |

I thought about stickers, also. I might give that a try.
A question about the washers: with a hole in the middle, does the paper get dented noticeably? |

| It depends on the washer. I buy the fender washers with a 1/8" (or less, come to think of it) hole. There's really not enough space in there for it to dent, unless someone stabs it with a pencil. |

More work on your part, but you can super glue a piece of card to the washer then peel it off when it's dry. A quick sanding will give a smooth finish to work with. Problem with washers though, they are often punched out leaving a sharp edge on one side.
I use these for bases though, not bennies.
