The group in my 1930s pulp game has done it again. They've gone off the rails, and now I need a new adventure quick.

It seems they want to kill some Cthulhu-esque horrors. I've found a number of CoC adventures, but most of them are better suited for horror games, and this is a more heroic, combat-focused campaign.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good, supernatural monster-hunting adventure? Of maybe a CoC adventure with a bit more of an emphasis on combat?

This mission isn't bad:

I have run it myself, and it can easily become much more combat friendly with the right execution. For one, don't end the game if the entity is summoned, as is recommended.
If the PCs survive the summoning, they might be able to call in the military after in starts on its rampage, or even be sought out by a monster hunting government branch (or even a freelance organization), since the characters have seen the entity at work. A shoot em up mission against its mortal and supernatural minions, and a final showdown against the creature itself could easily follow.
Don't worry so much about fear when combat gets serious, since the PCs are surrounded by well-armed personnel, and they are presumably big damn heroes anyway.

I enjoyed reading about the absurdly tragic history of the building in that adventure. Reminded me of the classic Simpsons quote: "This house has quite a long and colorful history. It was built on an ancient Indian burial ground, and was the setting of Satanic rituals, witch-burnings, and five John Denver Christmas specials."

That adventure could certainly work, but the players prefer hunting the really big, terrifying monsters.

If you're looking for more of a shoot 'em up, I suggest reading some of Larry Correia's "Monster Hunters" series, and basing something off of that. While it does have a few scares and a little investigating, there are plenty of Nazi-vampires, cursed conquistadors, and KGB werewolves to cross paths with. Players could also choose between employment in a couple different firms, or government service.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like a cool series. Unfortunately, I'm running the game in a few days, so I don't have time to prepare something so elaborate.

Noir Knights is set in the 1930's and is sort of an X-Files setting. The character all belong to a government body called the Special Projects Agency and investigate mysterious happens in the backdrop of the great depression.

But the plot point campaign is for heroic PCs on up.

The PCs just became heroic, so that looks like it will actually work quite well. Thanks for the tip.

Noir Knights is my favorite setting I haven't played yet. I wrote a nice long review here, FYI:

That was a quote from the Simpsons, not the adventure itself. Razz Same idea, though.

It's looking like the players are going to end up following my preplanned adventure after all, but I think I'll pick up Noir Knights anyways, since it fits this campaign almost perfectly. Thanks, everyone!

With some slight modification, you can use Noir Knights with just the regular SW rules, but to get the most out of it, a copy of Suzerain is highly recommended:
