Today I attended our yearly Salute (annual convention) for our miniatures gaming society. I'd made a prior committment to playing at a specific miniatures table for the 1 Sunday slot which was awesome as that table featured hand-crafted scenery and terrain. Unfortunately, scheduled during the same time was a Savage Worlds session entitled Pulp Showdown, which almost made my eyes pop out. It was one heckuva impressive table - I observed no less than a large scale scale pirate ship, a submarine and countles other impressive vehicles not to mention some way too cool terrain! That table probably had a dozen participants at it ranging from 8 year olds to 60. All around, there was a whole lot of pulp going down and it was 1 very impressive SW session. I didn't have my camera -DOH- but I'm going to see if anyone at the society snapped some shots and link them here.
It all reminded me how much I really regret it when conflicts like this happen at conventions. Next year I'm just going to have to find a way to strategically push any such conflicting tables together.
