At my FLGS I have only seen the Supers and Fantasy Companions (yoinked and on my shelf) But are any other companions such as Horror or Pulp or Apocalypse in the works?
Do we have tentative release quarters (dates being unrealistic, i know)? _________________ Savage Worlds doesn't even have a bell curve. It has a probability line that looks like it was drawn by a blind person in an earthquake. Anything can happen. |

| IIRC, Sci-Fi is up next (And Horror has already been released). |

is sci-fi going to be space opera or hard sci? or all of the above? _________________ Savage Worlds doesn't even have a bell curve. It has a probability line that looks like it was drawn by a blind person in an earthquake. Anything can happen. |

It seems to be too soon to tell. They just wrapped the Horror Companion so they may not have even started on the sci-fi one yet.
At a guess it would be Space Opera. _________________ My Savage Worlds Blog

Hard Sci-Fi and Space Opera is how you play. The Companion should be able to cover either.

I haven't heard anything definite (or anything at all, really) about a Sci-Fi Companion yet.

Sorry, no. Answering that question is what turns into angry (or at least snarky) Hey Pinnacle! posts six months from now.
Printed Horror Companion is on the way. Beyond that, no news. _________________ Matthew Cutter

| Any word on the reprint of the Fantasy Companion? My FLGS tried to order one a couple of months ago and they were out of stock; if I recall correctly, word on the forums here was that Pinnacle was out of stock as well. |

Next question. What, as savages, can we do to help speed up the time line of these forthcoming companions? Material? editing? play test? _________________ Savage Worlds doesn't even have a bell curve. It has a probability line that looks like it was drawn by a blind person in an earthquake. While I appreciate your enthusiasm and volunteer spirit, game product development is, in some ways, like a group of guys playing a pinball machine together as one player.
While the first guy is playing, there's not a whole lot you can do to help. In fact, trying to help can often cause the machine to tilt, and set you back.
When your time to step up does come, the best you can do is not dawdle. If there comes a time when it's your turn at the flippers, we'll let you know.
And now we see that all the "looseness" I don't use up on release dates is instead applied to my analogies. My apologies. _________________ Joel Kinstle

Oops, my bad than :p There was a recent podcast I listened to that mentioned a Facebook update about a font for a Sci-fi companion. |

| You know, it's probably just me, but every time I get the little e-mail that lets me know there's something new in the "What Companions are in the pipes?" thread, I always think, "Poor Luigi, trapped again." |

Yep, Shane solicited advice on a font for the Sci-Fi Companion on FB. Seems to me that's pretty late in the game for a new book ... _________________ "Your GM is metagaming ... and wrong!" |
