I have read through the book multiple times and I have played the game a handful of times as well.

The wild west/frontier setting with the characters playing "Dogs" which are basically watered down inquisitors that seek our corruption, fight demonic influence and possession (and also monsters if you wanted to amp up the supernatural), and do community service like delivering mail, naming babies, conducting weddings, etc.

The original system is pretty awesome but new players seem to have a hard time with it so I wanted to make a savage world conversion.

Any thoughts?

Borrow heavily from Deadlands. Mr. Green It should be pretty straightforward, since most of Doggs is style and tone. You can reproduce that in Savage Worlds.

Ya, that is what I figured. Deadlands has it all laid out mostly besides some background flavor and all of that jazz. I was trying to over complicate it.

Though I love the possessed rules - and cant really put them into context without resorting to Supers Companion 2, lol. Oh well.

Long term or short term? (I don't recall which.) For long term possession, look at Harrowed. Very Happy

Do have a point, I think I would have to alter Harrowed a bit, but that is not a bad idea.

The Dominion mechanic is a great way to model the struggle for control between the invading entity and the host. Whether or not you use the rest of the Harrowed mechanics, the struggle for humanity and possession is well handled.
