Get your LGS manager to email me thompsonjm at gmail (dot) com, and I will get them on our preferred retailer program. Meaning they order it via their distributor when it comes in print and we will give everyone that ordered it via their store a free pdf. We try to support your LGS through our involvement in the "Brick and Mortar Initiative." |
Great news, I'll definitely get my Savage World friendly LGS's enrolled. |

Just out of curiosity; will the printed book be a full sized hardcover, or more of an explorer-style 7x5 softcover?
[Edit] Actually, I believe the correct size for those style of books is 9x5.

Its a full sized hardcover. I think I posted that on the kickstarter page, but now I have to double check _________________ Jonathan M. Thompson

Hey Savage Guys,
Many thanks for your overwhelming support.
Frankly, we're a bit taken aback by the success of this Kickstarter.
We're scrambling to find some cool stretch goals now that we've smashed through the initial target.
Bryan, Jonathan and I have been emailing back and forth - and have discussed a number of options. Here are some of those items that John has given me approval to mention in this thread.
We wanted to get a conversation going and get an idea for what options folks were most interested in:
1) Introductory adventure based on the historic Cuxhaven Raid.
2) a series of One Sheets with sample characters, that would highlight important historical points and also the variety of play styles possible in the setting.
3) A supplement focused on creating groups (ie team and party archetypes) and deciding on which aspect of the setting to explore. This would tie-in with the One Sheets (in option 2) as a way for people to try out different time periods and playstyles (ranging from Novice to Legendary) within the setting.
4) Random Adventure Generator table.
5) Character and vehicle flats
We've got some other ideas percolating - but these are the ones we can talk about right now.
Please let us know what you think? |

Is it permissible to say all of the above?
I'd could be selfish and say '5) Character and Vehicle flats', because they could used immediately with the T20 version. I'm not sure what you're planning with '4) Random Adventure Generator table' because they're already is a decent set of such tables in the T20 version - are you thinking of doing them differently for SW? A detailed Cuxhaven Raid would be way too cool, and I wish that had been more fleshed out in KG T20. I think most people would find 3 the most useful, and the nice thing about voting for that is it sort of makes 2 a necessity too. I vote for 3.

I definitely like #3, 4, 2 and 1 in that order but would be happy with whatever other items you add in.

In order
4, 3, 1, 2
I would think that 4 and 3 would be somewhat tied together |

Presently out of money this month for game purchases. However, will have some in a few weeks.
Will the kickstarter continue to stay up for the next 40 days as stated on the site? _________________ http://www.armsonline.org/

Yeah - it's the same one. It is not included in the SW conversion currently.
Thought it might be a cool add-on. |

Oh OK. Considering that then, I'd change my vote to 4. KG is really more an alternate reality/historical fantasy setting, but none the less I find adventure generators more important than ever with any setting that has a military flavor to it. Since you'll be using what's in KG T20 as your template, in addition to the 5 tables I'd love to see a Random Friendly Forces Support table. It'd be like the Random Enemy Force table, but would provide for allied support air, land or naval units. |

The thing to keep in mind is that your account won't actually be charged until you hit the target date, so you can commit now and pay then. |

Hmmm -that's an interesting idea but I'd like to talk to you about it a bit more than might be appropriate for this general information thread. How about you PM me and we can hash this out a bit? |

NP. I'm just throwing it out there...just sayin. That feature exists in the two Weird War settings' random adventure generators, and it would no doubt involve some minor changes to the other tables. I'll PM you my thoughts once I've ponder it a bit longer. |

We've decided to go with the Group Archetypes book (better title to come later) as the stretch reward for reaching $1500.
The book would be focused on creating groups and deciding on which aspect of the setting to explore, offering accompaying One Sheets as a way for people to try it out. Then each One Sheet would also focus on a different play style as well.
Just for example:
Novice: Infantry, newly trained german spellbinder squad with orders to take out the russian command apparatus during the battle of tannenburg.
Seasoned: Armor (tanks and golems), a british golem squad must bring down a red dragon
Veteran: Espionage, a group of saboteurs must take out a Dragon Army factory
Heroic: Air Power, fighting aces attack a german super-zepplin defended by the Red Baron
Legendary: Commandos from Earth and The Kingdom of Dunedhin, a mix of allied races, assault an ancient sepulcher in Svaldon, to stop a zombie plague
We are still considering several additional bonuses, such as: a wall map, special miniatures and a soundtrack.
We'll keep you posted as these develop _________________ Jonathan M. Thompson
