Yes Dan, that means you ...

Right, now we're alone ...

I fancy having a trio of antagonists to turn up every now and then for the crew I'll be running 50F for ...

It all came to me when I read the description for Scurillians being highly intelligent but essentially unlikeable and the phrase "Never go against a Scurillian when death is on the line!" sprang into my mind.

Then I realised that a Grael that liked rhymes would be an ideal sidekick for said Scurillian, and all I would need after that would be a Masaquani Swordsmaster searching for a Six-Fingered man that murdered his father (and maybe Bruno Baltimus could have Six-Fingers ... I don't know)

Anyway, the muse started to leave me at that point, so I thought I'd come to ask for the aid of the Savages of the World.

Any suggestions on statting out

Nissini, the Scurillian 'mastermind', Kizzef, the Grael Brute and the Indigo-skinned swordsman Mandy Montoy?

Wow. I love this idea! I'll have to give is some thought into it. I'm pretty certain that for Kizzef I would put all possible Attribute points into Strength and Vigor, and leave Agility, Smarts and Spirit at d4.

Truly, you have a dizzying intellect. Wink

If you wanna keep your NPCs close to their movie counterparts, here are a few ideas off the top of my head.

Kizzef -- Intimidation, Quirk: Likes rhyming games, Loyal: Montoy

Montoy -- Habit: Alcohol, Vow: Avenge father's death, Ambidextrous, Code of Honor, maybe some kind of Swordsman professional edge, Loyal: Kizzef

Nissini -- Arrogant, Odious Personal Habit: Condescending/insulting, Quirk: "Inconceivable!" (or "Unimaginable!" or whatever)

Note: In their film versions, Montoy doesn't swim, and Kizzef only dog-paddles. Could provide lots of fun in the 50 Fathoms setting. Surprised

Sorry. Here's an amendment.

Nissini -- Not sure where I got Odious Personal Habit. I think it's a hold-over from my GURPS days. Let's roll that over into Arrogant or add the Mean hindrance.

Kizzef -- Brawny/Obese. I know the rules state that a character cannot have both. However, I think Kizzef should have the Toughness and Load Limit bonuses, yet suffer the Pace and practical limitations (finding clothes that fit, blending into a crowd, etc.)

He also needs some kind of unarmed combat/grappling/wrestling professional edge.

Montoy -- For our 50 Fathoms campaign, I'm thinking about bringing in some of the Pirates of the Spanish Main fencing schools/edges. Might be worth looking into.

Holy crap. I just realized that I'm building NPCs like PCs...

Time for bed. #1eek13

For Nissini, I think Arrogant is a good choice - as Dirty Ernie suggested. I could also see adding a Delusion: Thinks He's Much Smarter Than He Really Is. Smarts shouldn't be higher than d8, if that.

For Kizzef, he should have a high Throwing skill. "I don't have to miss, you know." In addition to Brawny, I might actually give him Size +1 or even Size +2.

Similarly, Montoy should have a high Fighting skill.
