I love the new character sheet, but I have a few suggestions.

1. The grey text for the attribute die is a little hard to read against the tin star. If they could all be made black like the 4, it would be a big help.

2. Setting the text in the fields to shrink to fit like in the original DLR sheet would also be a big help.

Are these possible?

Your second suggestion is possible. Personally, variably-sized text gives me the heebie-jeebies, so my first instinct is to protect you from doing that to yourself. For those of you with Acrobat (not just the Reader), you can do that yourself right now. That's one of the reasons we don't slather a bunch of protection on our PDFs when we can avoid it.

Your first request, not quite as handily possible. I'll see what I can do, but it certainly won't be in the next week, if at all.

I know the first one is probably not possible. The numbers appear to be part of the artwork. If it's not doable, no biggie. I just appreciate your willingness to tweak!

Another suggestions would be to split the Weapon/Range/Damage/Notes rows into separate sections. The original DLR form-fill sheet worked that way, and that was pretty cool!

Thanks!

Actually, I left those together intentionally so people who wanted to put in more specific data (like really extended notes) or who wanted to use that space in some other way could do whatever they wanted with it.

Just looks like my design thoughts and your usage patter are harmoniously out of sync, eh?

The character sheet is amazing and my quibbles are only minor. That said:

  • The letter "g" looks much smaller than every other letter. It would look better if the circle part was the same size as the letter "o" with the serif on top of it. This is really noticeable since the letter "g" appears so many times on the sheet!
  • Conversely, the ampersand (&) looks too big! Can that be shrunk down a tad? And perhaps increase the kerning distance between that and the "D" in "Dinero"?
  • The fine print at the bottom covers up the bullets, making marking them and erasing them unnecessarily messy. Maybe shrink the fine print so that it is on one line so that none of the letters cover the bullets?

If those three minor issues were fixed, then this sheet would be absolutely perfect!

I guess I hadn't thought about using the field for something other than weapons and powers. Embarassed

It's a great character sheet, and I guess my suggestions would suit only me. lol

Sorry 'bout that!

Oh, don't apologize for your opinions. Lord knows if I start suggesting that, some horrible karmic doom will descend upon me from the suddenly-darkening skies!

As much as I like to think I might, I waaay don't have a corner on "the right opinion," but I thought I'd share mine with you. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. If nothing else, you've made it possible for the otherwise-silent majority to swell up and say "me, too" sufficiently that I go change it.

Now I will go pop some popcorn, sit back, and treat that possibility just like the chance at a Wonder Woman 70s series marathon on television: I won't expect it, but I'll be ready for it if it shows up. Wink Silent majorities don't historically demand anything, you see...

I kinda like the options in the weapons/powers area, and am thinking of adopting it to my character sheets mfor my Sci Fi homebrew...
