I love the pulp era and styles of adventure. I think it fits perfectly with Savage Worlds because both should be run at a fast, furious, fun pace.
For a good place to start looking for the Pulpish style miniatures might be HERE. You might also want to look at the various other links found at the bottom of that website.
For Pulpish cars you might want to do an eBay search for "Matchbox Yesteryear". This will yield a good selection of cars to start you off. Their scale works very well with 28mm miniatures.
Pulpish aircraft is going to be a little bit harder and more expensive (at least my search results have been that way). You might want to look for models in the 1/43 scale range.
Terrain... I started off with jungles, deserts, then conifer forests. You can do a lot with these terrains.
All my monsters (dinosaurs, giant insects, King Kong, Godzilla, crocs, etc...) have all been toys grabbed from here and there. They are cheaper than the standard metal miniatures and have done me good for years. _________________

I ran a Pulp RPG in Fudge (before I became a Savage convert) for a little over two years...
I found these invaluable in that endeavor and I'm sure they would be equally well suited for a prospecting Savage Worlds Pulp GM...
The Pulp Avengers by Brian Christopher Misiaszek. I lovingly printed this out and got it spiral-bound. I never tire of reading it.
Pulp Paper Master Fiction Plot by Lester Dent, the creator of Doc Savage! Learn from the master himself.
Props for a pulpish game. VERY USEFUL!!! Your players are going to love getting this stuff!
30's Slang - Helpful in peppering your NPCs with the proper lingo.
Hope this helps someone.
Enjoy. _________________

Making a heart-of-the-Depression shanty shack.
Search for a good priced Fiskers Papaer Crimper and run some index cards through it. Paint to look like rusting old sheet metal. Ta-da! One cool shack for the table top.
Those thin wooden coffee stirrers also make great shacks and can also add on to the index card shack. And docks. And wooden fences. And small bridges. And wooden pallets to stack in the alley behind that grocery building.
These also work well in post apocalyptic setting too. _________________
