Don't be too hard on him. Posting your puns for all to see can be Scairy. Who can Tales how they will react?
A punster questions himself. Should he be Fifty with his puns? How can he even Fathoms the minds of the readers?
Why Evernight I lay in bed asking myself the same questions.
Weird all capable of reacting differently to puns. Brent obviously Wars doing his best.
Unfortunately, once you start punning, you'll start Slipstream down the slope to making it a habit.

Water we doing? We're acting dinghy. Can't you sea we need to discuss the cover? It could seriously affect the sails of the book. And our attitude could league out and change the wave the whole forum acts. That would keel me. We mast knots sloop to this behavior. I sink we all need to turn the rudder cheek.

Oh, and to be on-topic, the cover's pretty neutral to me. It doesn't (in this format) jump out and club me over the head to buy it, but it doesn't turn me off, either...

That my opinon too, Neutral really. Although I think a Savage style Skull and Cross bones would have been kinda neat for a cover logo . I do hope they keep the cover trend for all there Setting books though. I like the central logo and title. Plan, simple and effective.

Likewise - Great idea for the cover but the way it is executed is far too shiny & happy.
Simplicity is best - The evernight cover was perfect (in my opinion) |

Seriously, about the cover, I like it for the following reasons.
1. I like the "woodcut" aspect of the scene on the front. It looks like a sign that would hang out in front of the Hidden Kraken Tavern. (Say that 3 times fast!)
2. I like the colors! 50 Fathoms isn't Evernight on the water. It's larger than life and twice as boisterous! But it is wounded and you see that in the blood trail. Plus, just from a sales aspect, that cover would scream to me to pick it up and look at it.
Look at that, a complete post in this thread and not one pun!
Whoa, I think they're in shark.

Enough of your parrot-y, Clint. I(patch) started this thread and I(matey) eight to see it go to peices. I doubt we all arr able to stand too many more puns. I'd treasure the chance to put a (pointy) end to all these jokes. But you know what they say: The pen(zance) is mightier than the sword(fish)!
