Hi:
I was wondering if it's worth the Hero's time to Trick a villain in a duel (only 2 combatants), when the Hero goes 1st in Initiative, since the text for Tricks states that, if it's successful, the opponent's next action (not next turn) has a -2 to Parry only (& thus, since the Hero already acted, this -2 to the opponent's Parry is "wasted") - if no raises were acquired.
The only way this would work in this situation to the Hero's advantage is for the Hero to get a raise, right?

If the hero goes first, yes. If he goes after the villain, then he could benefit from the -2 Parry on the next round if he goes before his opponent. _________________ Clint Black
