I'm one of those that fell in the gaps, I don't think I ever got a coupon from you Dave. No big deal, I'm glad to support GMG's great work. However if you can add me that'd be great (I'm actually the same guy that sent you some of my gaming information by mistake a couple days ago and we exchanged a couple emails after that, so you probably have my address now. I'm also the guy that sent GMG an editable PDF character sheet that you published on the web a while ago when IZ first came out).
Just got the GM Screen and I really like it. Nice art combination on the outside, but the inside is what shines : Zeek table, Cybertrauma, Gritty damage rules, and also the Domain response tables outlined in the new Hacking 2.0 rules : awesome !
Hacking 2.0 : I'll have to reread it an digest it a bit more, but I'm not sure I really like the Hyper Gloves concept (maybe too lo-tech for my taste, it reminds me too much of the Johnny Mnemonic movie). It's definitely fitting the FFF concept and I can see myself using it for demo games and conventions, but I think I still prefer the original "all in TAP" concept from the original rules (with the WIP additions that were published somewhere under "hacking 1.5" I believe). Also this version of the rules seems to completely skip on the ghosting aspect, which I think is one of the neat aspects. I do like the Hyper Gloves modules and will probably use those for TAPs instead. I love the Domain response tables, and I'll definitely use those for my game.
In summary it's great work and I'm looking forward to see the advanced hacking you are refering to in the pdf. Do you have an ETA for those ? |

Hiya,
I can't really add anyone from my account at rpgnow.com. You just have to sign up to get emails from me (gun metal games). I'm not exactly sure how to do that, but I know when I purchase a product, I get prompted to sign up to recieve email notifications when a product gets updated or a new product gets released.
I am sorry you don't like the Hyper Glove aspect. Personally, I think it adds a cool element to the game, but keep in mind the glove is basically just a trapping. It could be anything you can imagine. It could be a cyberdeck out of shadowrun or a lap top computer. The base game stats wouldn't change, so if you just want to use it as stats for the TAP I don't see an issue coming up in game play.
The ghosting aspect was one of those elements of Interface Zero that really snagged people's ability to get a handle on. It raised numerous questions that needed to be answered and frankly, it was easier to drop it than go in and attempt to answer them in a way that kept things fun.
As for advanced hacking rules. I'm going to try and get some of them incorporated into the Hacking 2.0 pdf and uploaded as an update by the end of the week.
Others (Like the system for running entire games in Virtual reality) are going to take some more time, and will be released in an advanced supplement along with a bunch of setting information about the game and some major organizations. _________________ David Jarvis

Thanks for your reply,
I totally agree about the HG being trappings, and I do plan on using most of the rules from hacking 2.0 because they are pretty neat !
I think I figured how to get your newsletter in RPGNow : go to a GMG product on their website, look for the "Follow your favorites" and check the box. |

| And here my evil mind is thinking: How can I combine this with those nifty shock gloves already in main book? |

A small typo on the GM screen right-most table (p7), under "cybertrauma/biotrauma occurs when..." : I think Milware should have it's own line, as it only requires a roll on Snake Eye for Vigor rolls.
Hopefully it's easy to fix and upload a new pdf. |

Thanks for pointing that out.
I'll see if I can get him to change it. _________________ David Jarvis
