Has anyone made a set of test drive rules in Russian?
I just met someone who speaks English fairly well but still has a lot of difficulty reading it, so I thought I'd ask.

What about a setting with a Slavic or Russian Mythos
A few years ago (2002) when the remake of “Roller Ball” came out they had Rebecca Romijn Lettuce dressed up in black leather armor and a trench coat. The movie was so bad I was thinking as they had her dressed up like a female Russian version of Blade she should be out hunting Russian mythical monsters like wear bears and Baba Yaga and not this gen x poser crap
This was the one time in my life I ever fell asleep in a movie and after a five minute nap I had dreamed up this idea as a movie outline
And bare in mind when I dropped a hard drive I lost a 20 page outline and 20 more pages of scripted scenes
Throughout history the Russian family had a secret curse. For every boy born to the royal family who appeared to be born a sickly hemophilic one of the daughters was immortal unknowingly and unwillingly sucking the life from her brother and giving herself supernatural healing and longevity
The last girl so afflicted was of course Anastasia who survived her execution and crawled out of a shallow grave in the Siberian woods.
In the woods she lived/learned/fight with Baba Yaga
The setting takes place in the 1980’s and Tasia is now a hardened veteran of many supernatural battles hiding in the urban jungle. One night getting vodka at Sevenski Elevenski she rescues a teen age runaway from the Grendel gang and chops them into pieces and dumps them in a garbage bin. Then she takes the girl to her secret hideout in an abandoned Dasha just outside Moscow, as many action films start with a new member who is the reason all the rules are explained to the audience.
Remember I was napping so her code name was Black Widow. The friends on her back up team were a machete wielding hirsute Cuban code named Tarantula and a black American techno genius with a scared face code named Brown Recluse. When Tasia is bathing in the fountain of the abandoned Dasha we see she is covered in a scars and old bullet holes. And a Rusalka lives in the fountain.
Koschei the undying was the big bad and he was sending Ware Bears after her and the Grendel gang of Urban trolls (who oddly looked like the Punks from terminator) kept showing up to get the asses kicked humorlessly every time
Now go game that

Thanks Enno! Exactly what I was looking for!
I don't even know if this guy knows anything about role-playing, but I'm gonna try...

You're welcome!
I found the russian version by chance, when i browsed the RPGNow shop months ago.
Maybe there was even an anouncement on Pinnacle's main page then... _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who know binary and those who don't. |
