I've tried using the search function to no avail.
A question over the keyword "kinetic energy" in Necessary Evil (expecially considering power price discounts): do blaster/energy weapons count as kinetic energy?
And if they don't, then they can't have knockback effects, right?

"Energy weapons" is a broad category. It depends on what kind of energy the weapon fires.
Blasters (in NE at least) are specifically kinetic weapons (being kind of energized particle beams).

Well such weapons (in the gear section) don't have that anyway. If building a power off of it, it depends on the trappings somewhat, but in general it does require some kinetic effect to have knockback. So a character might have an Attack, Ranged fire blast with the Knockback modifier, meaning it could have an effect (or partial effect) against both powers and weaknesses connected to either fire or kinetic. _________________ Clint Black
