I was just wondering, now that the Horror Companion is out, which is the next one coming down the pipe? I know it's impossible for you guys to give a date, are you able to say what you're working on next?
Thanks

| Sci-fi. Good news. If only I can get caught up on over a half dozen or more print and pdf releases(other than SWD and the AA Deck). |

I would say it will replace the Sci Fi Toolkit. That's what's happened with Fantasy and Horror. Between all we've learned since SW first came out and the small but important changes to the rules since then, it just feels like the truth.
Thanks!

I would just like to state, I love the spacecraft, vehicle, and mecha creation rules from the original Sci-Fi companion!!! The Spacecraft rules are getting much milage in a home brew I'm working on. My only gripe would have been to use the same Armor/Weapon scaling for both mecha and vehicles, to make them easier to use in the same campaign.
Savage Worlds is that Piff!!! _________________ "Anything smaller is just fiddly, and fiddly is not one of SvgW's three Fs..." |

| I was trying to remember if the fantasy toolkit pdf's have been retired by the fantasy companion. I seem to remember there was a lot of world builder material that might not have been carried over to the companion. I could be mistaken. |

| The item creation system was not included in the Fantasy Companion either. Considering how much of the FC is made redundant by SWD, I'd love to see a second edition FC with what was leftover from the toolkits added back in. |

| Didn't the Fantasy Toolkits also have more spells than the FC? |

I'd have to double check, but I think you are right. All the more reason I hope they make a second edition of Fantasy Companion, instead of a mere reprint. |

Some, but mostly it had different powers. The powers that were not put in the Companion (or updated for it) were pretty much examples of setting specific powers. They might show up in a specific setting, but as Shane said, based on what we've learned, they weren't really Companion material. _________________ Clint Black

Should we be expecting a Pulp Companion as well? _________________ "Anything smaller is just fiddly, and fiddly is not one of SvgW's three Fs..." |

Sci-Fi is just a "probably" at the moment, so I wouldn't expect anything else yet. In short, reply hazy. _________________ Clint Black

Not that I'm naive enough to think I really get a vote but anyhow...I'd like to see a SciFi companion next. I already have Adamant's Thrilling Tales 2nd Ed. for pulp and think highly of it. Since I can't really think of anything in it that's been obsoleted by SWD, I'm not feeling the need for a pulp companion right now.
On the other hand when, I dove into Interface Zero and started creating some homebrewed adventures for our campaign, I would have really liked a more up to date SciFi companion. The sames true for my homebrewed supers campaign. |
