Annie Oakley
Born Phoebe Ann Mosey in 1860; 28 years old bu 1888

Traits: Agility d10, Smarts d6, Spirit d6, Strength d6, Vigor d6
Skills: Fighting d4, Notice d6, Intimidation d4, Persuasion d6, Riding d6, Shooting d12, Survival d6, Stealth d6, Tracking d6
Hindrances: Code of Honor (code of the west), Quirk "western" style of talkin', Loyal
Edges: Alertness, Signature Weapon (rifle),
Pace: 6 Parry: 4 Toughness: 5 Charisma:0
Languages: English, Spanish, French

Note: per wikipedia she hunted for her family, thus the wilderness skills. I was tempted to give her woodsman, but decided not to; she didn't do that much after she became a shooter. Persuasion was added to cover the acting/performing she did.

You can't have profiles of Victorian sidekicks without Dr. Watson, and here he is. I used the profile Lord Skudley wrote up in this thread as a guideline, adjusting things so that he would be a 10 XP character.

Dr. John H. Watson
Traits: Agility d6, Smarts d8, Spirit d8, Strength d8, Vigor d6
Skills: Fighting d6, Healing d8, Investigation d6, Notice d6, Persuasion d8, Shooting d6, Stealth d4, Streetwise d6
Hindrances: Lame, Loyal, Quirk (open book)
Edges: Brawny, Charismatic
Pace 4 Parry 5 Toughness 6 Charisma +2

As usual, I took the standard one major and two minor Hindrances, which were used on attributes. In this case, I raised Smarts and Spirit to d8 with the others at d6. I have the standard mix of fifteen points of skills plus the free d6 allowed in Gaslight and took Brawny as the free Edge. The two Advances were used to boost Strength to d8 and to take the Charismatic Edge.

Have I mentioned lately how much you guys rock? Very Happy

I will be printing out characters tonight and will be contacting folks about prizes, as promised. One prize is a customized Gaslight calendar for any year of the Victorian Era (1837-1901). So, start thinking of what year you want to have chronicled.

Here's a thought. How about someone coming up with a similar concept scenario using Deadlands? After all, with the possible exception of supers, the western is the genre most littered with sidekicks.

The game went great and I want to thank those who helped with character submissions. I have not forgotten about the prizes I promised for submitting, I just have to figure out what to do about the autographed copy of Gaslight. I sold out at the convention! That's a good thing, right?

Anyway, I am figuring out prizes and will hopefully contact the winners later today.

Hey Stephen,

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. I'm glad it went well!
I had some pregens for the game I ran back in September, but they weren't representative of anyone in particular.

What was the adventure about?

No worries, it happens!
The adventure surrounded the disappearance of Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale, near the Limehouse region of London. It involved fights with clockwork men in a strangely abandoned underground station and Dr. Fu Manchu stealing brains to operate said clockwork men.

Dr. John Watson, Ned Land, Annie Oakley, and Edward Malone, working under MI-7, were involved in the case. It was lots of fun, and included a clockwork man being knocked off a train platform in front of an oncoming train!

Very nice!

Mine was about an influential member of the Van Helsing Society who was having a wedding party at his house which had recently been plagued with strange sightings on the grounds and disappearances. The characters needed to basically be a security force and help keep things under control, which they more or less did.

You could probably take them and post them on your website or on rpgnow as a free download of sample PCs or NPCs.

If it matters, I give permission with my two
