I asked on the redbrick site and found that both were intended. An edge is guaranteed but you need to be lucky and find the right grimoire (controlled by GM).
Still, I've found the Edge and free from a book learning of spells not to my liking in SW.... when someone is lucky to find a spell and another spends one fo their precious edges it can generate some bad feelings. |

Oh, that's slightly better then. To be clear, I'm a great fan of Earthdawn and will give it a try someday. (I really can't game without a hardcopy).
I know that with all the criticizing and bashing the conversion, the question might seem strange, but will we see the companions' conversion (racial disciplines, rules for Questors and enchanting)? What's going to be in GM's guide? |

Racial Disciplines will be in the Denizens books. Questors, additional rules, etc., are slated for inclusion in the Player's and/or Game Master's Companion (as appropriate).

Thinking ahead to Savage Fading Suns.
Mongoose have A Call to Arms: Noble Armada, a starship miniatures game set in the Fading Suns universe.
Will a Savaged Fading Suns include some rules to help the two games work together? |

Yes, as UmbraLux kindly noted.
We're running through the proof cycle again for the first book (the Player's Guide) now, so it's still in pre-order (link in my signature, below and in UmbraLux's post). Once that's done -- we're waiting on Lightning Source's processing at this time, so it takes as long as they take, alas -- then pre-orders will close and we'll be ordering the print run to send to our patient pre-orderers. The print books will come down for a short period while we deal with fulfillments, then will reappear.
I'm a conservative kind of person and process-driven, so prefer to get the process right first time through, therefore I appreciate everyone's patience on this.
The Game Master's Guide will be up for pre-order soon, probably this weekend, with a May release date. And then there's a bunch more stuff coming up, which you can get an idea of from our House of 'Brick newsletter, available from the Downloads section of the RedBrick forums.
Everything will be in print -- hardcover and softcover -- and PDF. Small format books, 6.14" x 9.21" in size, black-n-white interiors.
And in answer to some other questions elsewhere, PDFs will be updated once we get past the proofing cycle, and we update them as we accumulate errata/feedback, from time to time.
Hope this helps!

War in the Heavens 3? No, that won't get made. Same with Sathranet. Not gonna happen. Those are the two questions that get asked of Holistic the most, btw.

Hi Savages,
Just in case the announce gets missed:
May Update: Earthdawn Savage Worlds and Pathfinder Releases
An update on the status of these books. The PDFs for both Player's Guides have been updated and revised versions will be released to those who purchased them on both the RedBrick Online Shop and one OneBookShelf this week.
Thank you for your patience. Our apologies for the delays. Unfortunately, we identified a few errors, which required another proofing run. It's taken longer than expected, but we have layout formats locked in and the release process should be smoother moving forwards.
For Savage Worlds Edition Player's Guide pre-orders, books were ordered last week and we hope to have them for shipping soon. You will receive email notifications that your book has shipped. For Pathfinder Edition Player's Guide pre-orders, we are waiting on one last proof, then will be ordering the pre-orders for shipping.
In the meantime, pre-orders are still available from the RedBrick Shop. However, once the print order arrives, these will revert to full pricing. If you want to get your pre-order, now is the time to do it!
The Game Master's Guides are well into layout and the expanded development team has done a bunch of work on locating and fixing errors. You can expect this book to be available for pre-order next weekend. With the delays from taking the time to quality check the Player's Guide, unfortunately we are running a little late with the GM Guides; as a result, the pre-order period will be much shorter.
Next up after the GM Guide is the Parlainth Campaign Setting book.
Thank you for your ongoing patience. We are looking forward to getting books back into print (first cab off the rank, this time).
Back to the computer...

| I just received my Players today and it looks great, I especially want to say thanks for the change to the Adept Edges table since the PDF release. That one small update makes things much easier. |

Great to hear, thanks Trilan!
Credit where credit is due, the table update was Clint's suggestion. While it takes up a little more room, I hope it makes it easier to work with the Adept Edges.
I'm just about done with the manual bookmarking work on the matching ebook refresh, and hope to have that completed tomorrow evening.
