Are these new Deadlands Miniatures 28mm, or another scale?
Thanks, and sorry if I missed where it was said.

I would naturally just assume they are 28mm since Reaper doesn't tend to work in anything other than that.

I've got my set right here, and they look to be "Heroic" 28mm, or 30mm from feet to eyes.

Hope that helps!

In the majority of the images on the Reaper site, there are two little triangles on the side of the image. Those mark 1/2" and 1".

Good enough thanks guys. I have not bought a Reaper mini since early 80's. So I just had no idea.

If you hang a card in your FLGS you will certainly find someone with the skills and inclination to paint them for you.

LOL! I used to paint all the time and some of my stuff won awards. I am/was very meticulous. So, no one at my FLGS will paint any of my stuff. They just try and guilt trip me into painting again. Very Happy

I would rather play games than work on the pieces. Very Happy

This begs the question of what makes the figure Heroic rather than truly being taller than 6'0" tall?

Great question, with a complicated answer. Smile The figure isn't Heroic, the scale is.

True 25 mm figures, the standard for many years, were based on the scale where 1" = 6' (25mm = 2m, or close to that). Some companies engaged in something called "scale creep", where the figures would get juuussst a little bit bigger than 25mm, but were still meant to represent a human-sized figure. Worse, different companies measured from different spots on their figures: one might measure from the base to the top of the figure's head, others might do it from the feet of the figure to it's eye-line, etc.

Obviously this would lead to scaling problems when mixing figures from various companies together. Reaper focuses on one scale: 30mm from base of feet to eye-line. Marketing types have named this "Heroic 28mm", meaning it's just a bit bigger than a 28mm figures. Regardless of whether they're true 28mm figures, or "Heroic" 28 mm, they should look good on the table top together.

...

and I'm just now realizing that this is in Hey Pinnacle! We should probably take this discussion elsewhere if y'all want to continue. Smile
