That's the problem though. I haven't really seen any officially published adventures where the bad guys are using it. But virtually every Arcane Background PC is using it.
Maybe I'm just not reading the right adventures, but the problem seems to be on the player's side, not the NPCs. It's just too good of a power to pass up
Have there even been any adventures, licensee or Pinnacle, released yet that incorporate the new rules? The book was just officially released 10 days ago. Give it some time. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Has there been any further rulings on using the new SWD spells in DL?
A player is making up a new character in my game, a Huckster, and would like to use some of the new spells (specifically slow, but maybe one or two others). I'm inclined to let her, so long as the new power is in keeping with the other huckster powers.
However, this particular player is my wife, so I may be biased to letting her get her way . So, I was wondering if there is any "official" stance on letting players use the new spells. We're changing the old ones (namely bolt and quickness) to match the new rules, so I'm guessing it'd all be balanced...[/i]

Not yet.

We'll be bringing the Deadlands powers closer into line with SWD at some point. Until then, you're free to introduce the SWD versions of powers but you'll be flying solo.
