Characters in Noir Knights start at Heroic Rank, and by the end they should be Demigods (Suzerain adds another Rank after Legendary called Demigod) |

And just for the record (and if anyone cares), of the currently available Suzerain settings for Savage Worlds:
Dogs of Hades and Caladon Falls are Novice Rank, Noir Knights is Heroic and Shanghai Vampocalypse is Demigod.
While I can't really talk about most of the planned projects, I think I can say the current plan is to have two more Caladon supplements, one with a Heroic Rank campaign, and the last for Demigod characters. _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

| So one could start with Caladon then go to Noir and finish with Shanghai? |

And doubly so - that's one of the things that jumped out at me about Suzerain when I first saw the beta... the idea that a character isn't hampered by little things like setting.
Once they hit Heroic Rank, they can theoretically bid adios to wherever it is they came from and explore other possibilities. That's also one reason we've had several enthusiastic converts from Rifts (and why Sarah's Noir Knights campaign will see the same group of characters jumping to Shanghai in 2048 to save the world... if not the universe). _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

Wow very cool to hear. I picked up all of the PDFs except the Greek one (not my cup of tea) when they were on sale. I think there is definitely enough role playing there to last a long time. No if I can resist the urge to purchase the hard copies at Gencon I will be good. |

One other thing that I've pointed out to other people before is that there is no reason one couldn't take other Savage Worlds settings and plunk them into the Suzerain universe - there are a lot of Realms out there. The Suzerain setting rules don't change things so much that it wouldn't be an easy thing in most cases.
Also, there's no reason one couldn't use the extant Suzerain material as one wished - I have every intention of running a lower Rank scenario or two in the Shanghai Vampocalypse setting, and we intentionally wrote Caladon Falls with an eye toward sandbox play if the GM didn't want to use the Plot Point.
For that matter, the Noir Knights setting just begs for other adventures, some of which we've explored with one-off adventures (which you can find here at Savage Mojo). _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

Indeed. I'm looking forward to taking my heroes to the Deadlands: Hell on Earth Realm. Since my players are all veterans of that setting, I think they'd enjoy a quick trip there.
I know I will. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

Heh. There's an interesting thought... In fact, I could certainly come up with some Suzerain rationale for a straight Deadlands setting. Although I've personally toyed with Necropolis.

We tend to frequent stores with game rooms wherein we take our little Savage Worlds books and begin brainwashing people. _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

| I think we might have to setup a game night at the local store and pass out some of the Savage Worlds Kool Aid. |

That's on the list too. Along with Hellfrost, Carbidous (of 50 Fathoms), and maybe a trip to Eberron, or even Necessary Evil.
That's the beauty of Suzerain, you can use it as a meta-setting to put the PCs into any setting you want to mess with, be it an official setting, something from a novel (the Lensmen stuff), a film (the Alien movies), other RPGs, real life, or any other source that strikes your fancy. _________________ "Got a problem? | Yeah I like the idea of moving the characters from setting to setting. I ordered the Suzerain hard copy yesterday because I am not doing a good job reading the pdf and I really do not want to print a copy on my printer. In fact Suzerain will allow me to play in all of the settings I may not want to run a whole campaign |

That's one of the biggest reasons I like the Suzerain universe - you can get a taste of several different settings and adventures, while keeping the same character that you've worked so hard on creating and advancing. |

Sorry for the wait! Things have been super chaotic over the holidays, and we've finally got Blog 11 up for Caladon Falls. We should see Blog 12 in the next week or two, as Curtis and I get back on track.
