You are quite welcome, your presentation of Cyberpunk has been sitting well with me from the get-go. I am going to be running sessions combining IZ with Cthulhu at a Halloween themed Furry convention next month. The pre-gens are all hybrids but considering where I'm going....

All the planned products for IZ sound fantastic!

I know you all are most likely involved with getting Totems of the Dead up and supported, but are there any IZ products near or close to release?

The ones mentioned in this thread sound great (especially the Companion and the book on fantasy + IZ. I would lkill for a more forgiving system than Shadowrun).

Anyways, great work so far. I love the setting.

I'm eyeballing my copy of Interface Zero, and I can't find any strength mods for Golomech Armor. Am I missing something, or do they not enhance wearer's strength?

Thanks for your kind words ( and I'm sorry about the late response).

Actually, I'm doing layout on our next city book, written by Curtis and Sarah Lyon: San Francisco: The Ruins by the Bay. It's a pretty cool book that presents an interesting change in gears where the genre is concerned. San Francisco was all but destroyed during the 2nd civil war and the great Earthquake, but many of the survivors didn't leave. This book talks about them and how the various factions have evolved.

We're also working on more I-Zines, there's a Europe sourcebook in the works, a "Deep" sourcebook, more city sourcebooks. The manuscript for the Malmart Catalog is close to completion as well.

So, lot's of stuff in the pipe.

Hiya. Gollemechs provide a base Strength of D12+4, and their weapons should be considered heavy weapons.

When I started up my IZ campaign I had some discussions with the creators from GMG about this as I also couldn't find it in the book. As Thruak said gollomechs have a base strength - I was told a range of d12+1 - d12+5, but d12+4 works nicely and makes for one hard-hitting gollomech. Wink As well their hands are treated as weapons and assigned a dice somewhere in the range d8-d12 and they get an AP bonus equivelent to their Strength bonus. There was only 1 gollomech player in our game, so I allowed them a base of Strength d12+3, d10 for fist damage wih an AP of 3.

Like just about any feature on a gollomech, the strength can be increased with an upgrade. The suggestion given to me was to make it cost about 30k credits, but how much is up to you or any GM.

San Francisco: ruins by the bay

Just the title alone makes me want to find some players for a road trip.

Don't forget to put a flower in your hair and plenty of ammo in your pocket. Wink

Question about cyberware:

Is it correct to assume that a character's cyberware should be summarized into a single "package" of 1 quality level? i.e. you don't mix and match a gutterware cyberarm with a streetware eyeball.

First off.

Allow me to apologize to those who have sent me private messages I haven't responded to. This Semester of Graduate School has been particularly intense and kept me busier then usual.

Now with that out of the way, let me see about this question.

Typically speaking, Cyberware is bought in single packages, however one can make entirely seperate packages of differing grades of Cyberwear.

To use your example, one could make a Gutterware arm, with a gutterware eye, and a gutterware dermal skin enhancement.

In addition however, one could pay the full cost to create a new package of streetware with a streetware strength enhancement and a streetware reflex enhancement.

We know that's abit confusing overall which is why I'm currently working on a new cyberwear system which allows one to purchase parts individually at which ever grade they want, rather then as part of expensive buy in packages. It's currently in Alpha at the moment, but when I'm done I'm hoping to give more cyberwear and biowear options along with the ability for players to purchase small amounts of cyberwear somewhat more cheaply then the current system allows for.

In another note for everyone, the New Hacking rules are finished. Dave Jarvis is currently editing the document to make sure it's all spic and span, but soon you should all see the finished product!

Now, sadly, I have to get back to working on my last paper for this Semester, but after it's done I'll have more time to work on more Interface Zero products!

Sorry, everyone for the delay in getting San Francisco out the door. As some of your may know, I just spent 8 days in the hospital. It seems that I have a Hypothyroid disorder; More specifically, Poly-glandular Auto Immune Disorder. essentially, my immune system is attacking my thyroid gland, which very nearly caused Kidney and Liver failure. By very nearly, I mean that I would have been dead within a couple of week's time if they hadn't caught it.

I'll be taking testosterone injections and Thyroid pills for the rest of my life, and the whole time I had pretty high blood pressure. At one point I think it was 163 over 115. So I have to take blood pressure pills, at least for a while. My adrenal glands were screwed up as well.

Anyhow, I'm slowly getting back to normal and trying to get caught up with all things Gun Metal Games.

I need to crack the whip on the San Francisco writers to get the final pieces of writing I need to publish that book, and I've just received the first 72 pages of the long-awaited Malmart catalog, which I need to read through and send comments to the writer.

The Hacking rules are being edited ( albiet slowly) by myself, but I anticipate having them out soon.

Thanks everyone for your patience, and especially for all of your thoughts and prayers as I go through this trying time.

Hey man, I'm just glad you're still alive.

If I get IZ goodness out of the deal, that's a sweet bonus.
