Cool, thanks for clarifying that Stampede. I'm very familar with the sidebars in IZ and have really enjoyed reading them. Didn't know that was Shadowtalk, but if that be it - keep the talkin coming. |

| I just started up a new IZ game and my players are really wanting some vehicle and weapon customization rules. Any chance an upcoming supplement might be coming out soonish that has that sort of thing in it? |

Absolutely. I have someone working on this as we speak. All sorts of nifty "do-it-yourself" rules will be in the upcoming Malmart catalog.
I know I have been saying this one's coming, but believe me, it is. I just don't know exactly when yet. _________________ David Jarvis

Send me a PM with your email info, and I'll get the latest document version out to you for playtesting if you'd like.

If the character has more cyberware than bioware, use the cybertrauma rules. If the character has more bioware, use Biotrauma rules.
If it's too close to call, use GM fiat, or roll for what makes the most sense; like, if the guy gets shot in the head but doesn't have bioware there, roll for cybertrauma. _________________ David Jarvis

I like the new setup for hacking. Of course now that I have already explained everything about hacking I'll have to do it again for the new changes. In the end though I think they'll find the new changes easier to understand.
I sent you a PM with my email so hopefully I can take part in the proud culture of playtesting. |

I really like the new Hacking rules. Some things in the old ones (the limited use Programs for example) allways bugged me a little, although I still prefer them over the SR Rules
Concerning SR. Ever since I first got a hold of IZ I felt like you guys must be real big fans of it, and after I read Zeeks I was sure you were. The Psionics System is the closes thing to a savage version of the "Damn that spell was to powerful for me and now I am a litte woozy!" System I loved in SR (although I loathe the Rulesystem by now). In fact I like your System so much I might convert it for my Fantasy Setting if you don't mind
Keep up th great work. _________________ Confessions of a Gaming Geek: http://www.varmidnight.com |

Hey thanks for the kind words Trickster!
My Goal with the new Hacking rules was to make them both more in depth yet simpler all at the same time. In another thread on our site I lay out the new foundation for Hacking TAPS (Which I'll probably add to the main thread)
And yes, Dave J and I are both big fans of Shadowrun. Even though the 4th edition rules are not to my own taste, I have much respect for everyone who writes for Shadowrun and worked on it. During it's 3rd edition era, it held a lofty position of being one of the few games everyone in my group was happy to play.
Feel free to convert it all you want, if you'd like to use our rules to run Shadowrun go for it. If you liked the Zeek book I highly recommend checking out the Zeek I-zine PDF. The Psionic Mastery Edges found within are a good example of how to do "Initiation" in the Savage Worlds system.
We have alot more ground we need to cover in IZ (The Malmart catalog for example has rules for weapon creation, armor creation, golemech creation, vehicle creation, as well as a new more in depth Cyberwear system I've been writing up)
But I do have a dream of one day doing a one off Interface Zero Book dedicated to injecting Magic and the Supernatural into the world. I'd like to talk about Fantasy and cyberpunk in general (Believe it or not, There were several cyberpunk stories with fantasy elements in them before Shadowrun came along) and lay out a tool kit for building your own "Cyberfantasy" setting. Maybe also present 3 separate examples of how to inject the Supernatural into IZ, from a Horror perspective to an urban fantasy perspective.
But again, this won't happen until we have more of the ground work supplements out. _________________ David Viars

| Very interesting things around here. In one month I will be running IZ at Fur Fright. Anything more coming out in print for this setting that I should be aware of? |

Not in print, nope. I'm hoping to get San Fransisco out next month, but I've been (and still am) busy with Totems of the dead. _________________ David Jarvis

| Not a problem if all goes well in CT next month I'll try this again in NJ next year. So if I have to look through that for next time I'll get it. San Fran sounds good. I want to hear more of the world itself. |

| One more thing! I heard that the kibbitzing from in game ronin that I loved in the Boston book is something you intend to continue. Not that I need another incentive, but if that tread is carried forward, I will be very much entertained with every subsequent book I buy. |

I got it already, haven't found time to read it though
I was planing to use the magic system as a base for my fantasy setting
And while I do not plan to play SR with the IZ rules, my IZ game is heavily influenced by SR _________________ Confessions of a Gaming Geek: http://www.varmidnight.com |
