Any news about "Necessary Evil II: Breakout"?
The last time I heard about this was one year ago...
In the works. Our flyer from GenCon this past year listed it as one of the books coming out in the next couple of years (meaning this year or next), and that's still the plan. But likely nothing more concrete until we're almost ready to roll on it. _________________ Clint Black

I really like the setting material from the first necessary evil, it makes a decent backdrop for my supers campaigns. Is the new evil replacing the old evil, if so will it have a city detailed enough to use as a base for my homegrown campaigns?
Also just a general question, where might I find a book that would help me set the tone for different genres of rpg's, because your companions (with the exception of the horror companion, that gives a nice gm advice section) give no advice on how to set the tone for a specific genre.
I've been supplementing fluff from mm3e, and some crunch, particularly the complications translated to disadvantages and super karma, I also give supers an additional cumulative wound every two tiers and extra level of fatigue every three tiers above novice to emphasize their superhumanity.
The sci-fi companion doesn't really need any advice to get the feel and fantasy everyone whose ever played an rpg should know.
You might want to consider releasing a pure fluff companion with tips on how to get the feel for any genre imaginable. Or even a gm guide that included such info.
