I recently picked up the Tombstone Epitaph #4 and was delighted to find all the new powers for Librarians. (Yeah, I'm late to the party, but I'm enjoying the leftovers. )
There is one that leaves me confused though.
The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword is incredibly flavorful and cool, but the table is confusing. Does the defense bonus of the weapon actually get worse as you increase the power rank?
That seems really weird (like it was a typo), and I'd really like to know since I plan to take it with the Librarian that I'm currently running. |

Should be an easy question since that was the first thing I wrote for Pinnacle.
Yeah, the numbers should be positive values as they increase not negative ones. Looks like a formatting issue. _________________ Clint Black

Even in death, gremlins still mess with our game.
Thanks Clint. I'm sure that will be of use for others as well. _________________ 28/12/09 Scooter just bought a Deadlands book... In a Japanese Gaming store... And the clerk knew what it was. Awesome. |

Many, many thanks for the info.
Also, since we just survived the Unity adventure, do you happen to know if Librarian powers are any different on Banshee?
Being book spirits, it seems they'd have similar problems to Junkers. On the other hand, they don't actually do much direct manipulation, making me inclined to treat them like Templars (no change). _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

I'd also opt for no affect on the powers. Librarian magic seems to not be tied to Earth like, say, Doomsayer magic. It's more about the shared literature that the Banshee colonists would also know about. _________________ 28/12/09 Scooter just bought a Deadlands book... In a Japanese Gaming store... Never really considered it, but I think I'd agree. _________________ Clint Black
