These are the bennies and the storage box for them for a new grand-scale pulp game I am coming up with that I hope to run at Savage Saturday Nights in the future...
Here they are out of the box...
They are all covers of actual pulp mags I found on line and glued to small pieces of wood to mimick magazines, I "Savaged" the backs...
See you at Savage Saturday Nights...
Goo
P.S. I made the box too with a 99cent box from the craft store, some printed vintage luggage labels, I also found online, and some patience. |

That is really really cool!
I am probably gonna be running a supers game soon; I might have to do something similar with comic books, and a white cardboard long box. _________________ "Games give you a chance to excel, and if you're playing in good company you don't even mind if you lose because you had the enjoyment of the company during the course of the game. That is a fantastic idea for a pulp benny box! I love how you did the shipping labels (along with being stunned at the kewlness of it all).
Just about makes me want to play pulp again. |

(and I would love to have a jpg or pdf of it!). There shoould be one for sci-fi... _________________ The eternal struggle takes time, Max. |

I thought I'd kept up with this thread, but i missed those pulp cover chips before now. I had the idea of doing something similar for my WWWII game, but I'd be looking for blank Scrabble tiles.

Just a little improvement to Dirty Ernie's Crate of Pulpy Peril!

Any ideas on putting together a Dark Sun themed Benny box?

Sorry, Ernie. You've set the bar too high. After that amazing show, pretty much everything else is just embarrassing. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

Here are some photos of some of my Benny Boxes...
Ghostbusters Benny Box: Got the printouts from Jordan Peacock. http://greywolf.critter.net/ghostbusters.htm
Made a Tobin's Spirit Guide you can see in the back. Its a fake book, it opens up to a box inside. Some old rebased Horroclix for ghosts and a deck of cards from a trip to Disney's Haunted Mansion.
Men in Black Benny Box: Got a sleek Vaultz case that holds everything. And some Black and Silver playing cards for the Action Deck.
War of the Dead Benny Box: Ammo Box that holds the shell casings I use for Bennies, Zombie Deck, the other deck is from the movie the Dark Knight (its the Joker's deck but looks so cool with everything else), special Adventure Cards for the zombie setting, Zombiess!!! minis, condition cards, NPC cards, a list of current and dead NPC's...a lot of stuff!
I highly recommend Daring Entertainment's War of the Dead Campaign http://www.daringentertain.com/ _________________ -DHRDawg

Thanks! The Tobin's Spirit Guide was a book/box I got from a craft store. Its a box that looks like a book. I just made a label and hot glued it to the front on a piece of balsa wood. Makes a great prop and I can put the cards, figures and bennies inside. _________________ -DHRDawg

Yes it is! Good eye. I used them as thug type NPC's. They always get a laugh at the table. Of course they get the Ugly Hinderance and even more damage (+6 total) if a called shot to the 'head' is scored!
I ran this MIB game last year at Gencon. It was lots of fun. _________________ -DHRDawg
