OK. A theory:

I just beat the Wildman. I had to go through three Rippertech enhancements and several equipment changes to get the needed Power and Speed.

Afterwards, I was confronted with a sad end for the Wildman.

This got me wondering about another thread on 'High Intellect' (http://www.peginc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24181) and the mysterious 'extra options'....

If I had a high intellect (achieved easily through constantly available equipement like scrolls and such), would I have been given an alternate choice to save the Wildman???? It sure would have been easier than trying to beat him physically!

If that were the case, then this is a WONDERFUL game.

Does anyone know for sure (or can willingly confirm my theory?)
