I'm new to deadlands and I don't understand how Grit is calculated. I'm creating a new character and I stuck at the grit portion.
Also my friend is building a Cyborg and we don't quite understand the mounting systems. If your cyborg is an infiltrator can you have systems that require heavy hard points? Or are the heavy hard point systems reserved for cyborgs that are heavy combat?
I checked the topics and found nothing that answers your questions (okay it was done quickly).
Making things fast:
Grit isn’t calculated. You earn it. Harrowed characters get automatically 1 Grit, and due to the cyborgs' nature they start game with 1 Grit.
Hard Points are divided into two different classes: light and heavy. These are required to use external gear. Hard points generate a number of external mounts, depending on their location of installation, not their type.
A Light/Heavy hard point generates:
Torso = 4 mounts; limbs = 2 mounts and head =1 mount.
An infiltrator model can mount heavy and light hard point systems. But heavy mounts aren’t really practicable for an infiltrator.
