Anyone have any good guesses as to how much a kevlar vest and/or armored duster weighs?

What material is supposed to provide the armor in an armored duster?

A kevlar vest probably weighs on the order of 5 pounds, but I am guessing. I would guess that an armored duster weighs 12-15 lbs, and gets its value from heavy leather, though it could be reinforced with kevlar, or even ceramic or metal inserts.
