Greetings!
I just put my NE version of Raphael up on my blog. I'll be using him and the other turtles in a game I'm running a week from Saturday for my son and a friend of mine (Allen aka Tombthroat) and his sons.
I used 10 xp and gave them all the Small Hindrance and the Aquatic Monstrous abilities and +2 Armor. Since they all have the same Racial package I figure it's balanced.
I'll put up some more after I bathe the kiddos and get them in bed!

I like him. But what I don't get is a) if Small is a racial hindrance or for Super Kharma and b) only one Power Point for two sais. As I get the rules for two Devices you would have to pay double. Or am I wrong? Why not instead just buy them as Gear?
Other than that: Great character. He really shows why even Novice characters in NE rule. _________________ "So, how much Experience do I get for the bard?" |

Thanks for the reply!
Sorry, Small is for Super Karma. I gave it to all of them. The Aquatic and +2 Armor are the Racial Edges. The balance is because all of them are the same Race. So even though the Aquatic and +2 Armor = 3 creation points instead of the normal 2, it's balanced because they all have it.
I am thinking about the Attack Melee device. The examples for Trappings are magical weapons, rock hard fists, hands charged with energy and "super" martial arts. I've never had a player pay twice for Attack Melee to be able to punch with both hands and use it. To me, it's all in the Trappings. If a player is willing to take Ambidextrous (a Background Edge) and Two Fisted I'm willing to let them have the two attacks with the Attack Melee bonus. Even if they take it in two weapons. Especially since the weapons are easier to disarm than if their fists do the Attack Melee.
Although just making the turtle's weapons mundane and bought as gear may be the way to go... I'll think more about it! _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

Okay, I've changed them up a bit. I now have posted Raph and Leo. I took away the Attack Melee and went with normal weapons as gear. I also just used the Human template and gave them a Free Edge. Then took Armor level 2 with Partial for 1 PP and Aquatic for 1 PP.

I put up photos from my game today and I also put up my version of Splinter.
Feedback is welcome! _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

I really like what you did with them. Especially Splinter is the perfect example how much even a Seasoned character can rock with enough Super Edges.
And the kids look like they were having fun (I liked the little one, who in his desperate attempt to get on the picture totally blocked Al. )
So no problems with the rules for the kids. That’s great... well, wait a moment. Should we all here be concerned that we in your 30+ to 40+ are so enthralled by this system? Has Shane manipulated your inner child?!? Hmm... _________________ "So, how much Experience do I get for the bard?" |

| I love the pics in the blog there, and within them, the scenery and the figures you used. Thanks for sharing all that! |

Looks like you had fun, Norm. I love how Al looks utterly perplexed in that one picture. I've seen that look before! _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I let the kids take their characters home and told them they could "level up". So now the older two are reading over the Edges in SW:Ex to see what they want to take! _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

Love it. The turtles are my biggest childhood heroes
Awesome job. However I am certain I spotted one error. Michaelangelo’s Parry should be 9 not 10. He needs a +4 to have 10 |

But he also has Acrobat. That's a plus 1 to parry as long as the can move freely. _________________ "So, how much Experience do I get for the bard?" |

DaRealJudas has the right of it. Acrobat adds +1 to Mikey's Parry for a total of 10. If he is ever encumbered he'd only have a 9 Parry. _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |
