Hey there folks.

I'm working on a new SW setting, and as I was coming up with ideas, I kind of started wondering if anyone had done rules for souping up cars. Stuff like faster engines, armored, oil slicks, self inflating tires, ram prows, etc.

Also, if anyone has done any further rules on grappling characters.

Something I was kicking around was an edge like

GRAPPLER

Requirements: Novice, Strength or Agility D8+, Fighting D8+

+2 to Fighting rolls on all Grapple attempts, +2 to Strength or Agility rolls to maintain or escape a grapple.


Anyway, if these do not exist, I don't mind making them, but if they do, well, would love to save myself some work!

Might check out the free Modern Martial Arts document. There are a couple of Edges related to grappling in it.

Thanks! Some of those do come in handy! I'll be working up some more, plus some stuff for the hot rods as well. I'll actually be posting the idea for the setting I'm using this for on the conversions board soon.

You may find http://home.earthlink.net/~djackson24/MotorMatters.pdf useful.
It is setting rules for Named vehicles collected from the Pinnacle forum a while back.

Depending on how personalized you want to make the vehicles, http://www.estarcion.com/kaleja/77quirks.html could be a good source of ideas.

Here are a couple of Edges I created for my home brew of the road trip/horror TV series Supernatural which you might find useful.

Trademark Vehicle
Type: Combat
Requirements: Seasoned, Driving d8+, Repair d6+
Thanks to having personally maintained it, you know every little quirk of your vehicle and how to get the most out of it. When behind the wheel of your ride, all ranged attacks against it are at -1 and you get a +1 on Chase rolls.

Improved Trademark Vehicle
Type: Combat
Requirements: Veteran, Trademark Vehicle
As above, but modifiers are increased to -/+2.
