|
Greetings!
So I updated my blog with the first 4 characters from my 80's Cartoon Extravaganza today. I used Necessary Evil and made them all Novice characters.
Let me know what you think! And if there are any mistakes/errors too.
I'll put the other 4 characters up later this week.

He may have saved YOUR ass. I was playing Eric the Cavalier so I was safely hiding behind everyone else. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

I seem to remember a certain someone who just had to have the big sword, and just had to stare down Singe, even though he's secretly a Yellow-bellied coward!
But I'm not bitter. _________________ "Your GM is metagaming ... and wrong!" |

Heh. Well, that was supposed to be his big moment where he overcomes his fear and shows his heroic side. Plus I wanted to have the big sword and stare down Singe. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

Well, Lore, in his defense, he DID have some useful lore to share that helped us win that battle.

The characters are great and Norm always runs a top-notch game. If you're ever at a big Con you need to get in on one. They usually aren't hard to find slots for because he's the only guy I know that LIKES running 8am games. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. Hey, thanks for the replies guys!
There are lots of great 80s sidekicks. And I've found the majority of Savage Worlds players that I've played with at the Cons are 30somethings that fondly remember 80s cartoons. So this was a natural game for me to run. I've been thinking about running it and allowing players to make their own sidekick when they arrive... although with the NE rules it can be difficult to make a character in 10 or 15 minutes.
I even have a part two ready to run at Cons in 2009! Although I've really been thinking about running Pulp only games this year. Ravaged Earth, Slipstream, Daring Tales...
And Tom has the right of it, I'm usually the only one running Savage Worlds games at 8am with the occasional exception of Chaos Steve who gets up even earlier than I do! _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

At first I thought it utter insanity to game that early but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I don't know if I could run a game that early but I'll definitely be playing in them this Con season.
I'd love to see a sequel of the 80s sidekicks game. I'll probably be doing Origins this year so I hope you're going. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

I'll be at Origins this year! And I'll run the follow up 80s sidekicks game too. Even if it's just an invite game. _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |
